I would literally lose my collective **** if this absolute golden gem was leaked before announcement like how Castlevania was. Like, serious mental meltdown with inchoherant babbling and mad-man behavior followed by fangirl screaming.

The sad thing about this is even if we got Mortal Kombat kontent, it's not likely we'd get that song. I'm pretty sure the movie's soundtrack is owned by a completely different company.

Incineroar has been claimed by two leakers who so far have both been accurate, and even disagree over Isabelle. You can see Ash in Incineroar's concept art. I don't think Incineroar is a lock, but I'm not going to be surprised at all if he shows up.

Eh? Loz hasn't said anything about Incineroar and has gone on record about having no information regarding pokemon, while Vergeben claims he only heard Incineroar from one source and isn't confident about it (which is why he was hesitant about releasing the name until Loz posted their pm), not having heard any corroboration about it from anyone else.

So it’s a Nintendo IP of a genre unrepresented in Smash (tower defense) that has been active enough to have three games in the life span of the 3DS, with an insanely marketable mascot and he’s not on the common “likely” lists?

I think some poster a hundred pages said people were sleeping on him, and I have to agree.

Edit 2: I don't see more than 4 newcomers in all honesty. I do think we'll see near the same number of Echoes (possibly 6).

Boshi is a character from Super Mario RPG that runs Yoshi's Island due to a race. He's essentially Yoshi's "Wario" equivalent. He's been my most wanted since I joined SB and at the time I thought he was VERY unlikely. Now he's just "regular" unlikely due to the Heroes vs. Villains theme, Kamek's supposed disconfirmation and Geno's likelihood...

Loz apparently said "Expect Goku. November." He then proceeded to delete that post and close his account along with it, presumably to dodge getting flamed.

FYI, this is all second-hand info from other FAQs users, so I have no clue how legitimate this is.

This would be cool though. We probably will get Scorpion as the original fighter, and Sub-Zero as the Echo Fighter if this somehow happened.

I don’t see that happening since they are very different fighters and have different abilities. Unless you can get Sub-Zero to fling out an ice spear and say “get over here” or spew out ice after removing his mask which reveals a skull. Both out of character regardless how you look at it. Same goes with Reptile. And Smoke. And Rain. And Ermac. And Chameleon. And Noob Sabot.

Conspiracy time: What if Sakurai has intended and developed models of several Rare characters for Melee, but when Rare was bought out, he replaced the those characters with clones due to time constraints?
Im betting he would have added Banjo, Diddy or King Rool (perhaps why no trophy, or why there is trophy), and Joanna Dark (given the cloaking device)

Nah, we would've known that by now. Melee was made in 6 months, there wasn't even time to consider scrapping anything.

Also Rare was bought more than a year after Melee released

Scorpion for sure. Seeing Kirby yell out “Get over here” whilst impaling the opponent with a spear is on the same epic level as the Kirby Hadoken...at least to me.

I’m not a purist or anything but it would still be a bit strange to see that. Netherealm has made strides to differentiate the palette swap characters in recent games so making a Sub-Zero echo would see a step backwards in regards to that.

Okay I have a dumb game, but pretend it's like a good luck charm for your picks to get into this game.

For every newcomer you want, you must put in at least 3 and at most 7 hot takes/unpopular opinions about them or the series that they come from. Like not really what you hate about them, but what you think about them that other people would disagree with mostly. It could be "I see X as A instead of as B because I think A is more interesting than B". It can also be "I think fans of X should do B instead of A" and "I like X but I think that A is a huge problem about it."

Ok, I don't know how unpopular these opinions are, but here goes...

Dovahkiin (Skyrim)
- What in the actual **** were they thinking with that default font? The game is almost unplayable without a font-changer mod.
- I miss all of the weapon skills from Morrowind. Spears were awesome. Plus, knowing how to use a dagger in no way translates to using a mace.
- Also from Morrowind: Stop holding my hand. I really mean no unkillable characters, no compass, just an open world and say "have fun!"
- I liked it better when we had to repair weapons/armor like in Oblivion. I preferred the micromanaging tedium sometimes.
- Survival mode should have been a base game option so it was incorporated properly.

Urbosa (Breath of the Wild)
- I like the weapon damage...but give me a way to repair them, not just toss them away.
- Temperature-based survival was a great idea and should be incorporated into more games.
- Zelda games should stay unvoiced. Period. Most of the casting was bad, and for some characters they switched from text to voice.
- Link should stay left-handed. There are not enough heroic lefties.
- I wish Ganondorf had been able to make an appearance. I prefer the human dark lord to the mindless pig of evil.
- Zelda's new outfit is boring beyond reason. Her royal gown was way better, and so unfortunately underused. 100% she should have had that gown for Smash.

Oh, I was just saying how they all look alike physically. Echo Fighters would make them something they are not, so yeah, I would stay away from that.

Honestly, I would only expect Scorpion and Sub-Zero, and Scorpion would make me go from 7 to 8 mains, and Sub-Zero would give me . . . an interesting amount of secondaries.

This is Smash Ultimate, and Sakurai'll want to have something more shocking than Ridley or K.Rool. I thought Goku may actually be pretty likely. Hope it's DLC though so I can pass it up.
