I do think that EVO is going to reveal something new, but it wouldn't surprise me if it ended up being new items and stages while holding characters for a Direct

Were there any that said Delfino was being cut? That seems like it would be a strange thing to call out, considering it’s a popular stage that was in Smash Wii U and therefor is easy to bring over

In all seriousness though, Rodin is gonna be tricky to deal with compared to some ATs. People are going to say "here comes a giant fist!" for a bit.

Its song was used in one of the character trailers, too.

It was confirmed that not every stage is coming back. There are some stages that I don't think are coming back, like Planet Zebes, Sector Z, Mute City (Melee), Pyrosphere, and Miiverse.

Probably similar to the Master Ball in SSF2. Encase an opponent in it and throw it around like an item

Love Rodin. Seeing him again reminded me that we usually have one AT per 3rd party franchise, though we didn't get any for Street Fighter, Final Fantasy and Bayonetta last game because those characters were DLC.

Rodin is already confirmed but what other ATs do you think we should expect to represent SF and FF?

For SF, I can see Sakurai choosing someone like Blanka or Dhalsim instead of characters like Ken/Chun Li - going a similar route to what he did with Mega Man.
Chocobo is the obvious choice for FF, but there are so many good options.
And lastly, I liked Gray Fox but I'd love to have someone different from MGS as an AT (of course, if we could have more than one for all of these, that'd be great but I don't see it).
