You know, while I may looking too much into it (then again, this is Smash speculation in a nutshell), I'm still surprised that the Black Knight got a Mii Costume. Sure, he is one of the most well-liked FE vilains out there, but I thought that just having a trophy would be all he would get along the Ike palette swap based on him in Smash 4.

But nope, he got a Mii Costume, and now I'm wondering, does the Black Knight is well-liked in Japan? Or he is more a fan-favourite in the west?

The character trailers reveal more than you think. This game isn't that different from smash 4 so presumptions can be made. We know the mechanic changes, we know everyone is slightly bugged to various extents.

If we saw Olimar pluck 10 Pikmin then we can say oh okay this is different let's see how it goes. As it stands I've seen enough to formulate a fair opinion. Many smashers have made tier lists for every character already.

And most of the people doing tier lists have at least played the demo, and are listing the non demo characters simply out of speculation "This is how they were in Smash 4, so this is probably how they'll be in SSBU". Without knowing frame data, and seeing every Smash, Tilt, Air Attack, etc - there is no way to accurately guage where a character will fall in the tier list.

In Melee, Ice Climbers had a pretty horrible moveset (in regards to Speed vs Power) but because they had the infinite (and some other tech I think, that I don't know much about) they became one of the best characters in the game, able to win tourneys. So I wouldn't put too much credence on any tier lists until the game has come out and each character has been tested.

We DO know the game is similar to Sm4sh, so it wouldn't be unreasonable to guess where characters will be if we haven't seen any movement changes. But it should stay a guess, imo.

I'll take anything but that terrible Light design. Lords of Shadow would be my choice because I always dig characters with beards. They'll probably go with the Chronicles or classic design. Most people I've talked to seem to prefer the Chronicles design, but I wouldn't mind getting the classic design instead because he looks like a B-movie character.

I guess you could say I'm pretty neutral, so long as we don't get Light Belmont. That design is trash. Classic seems like the most likely, but Chronicles could be an alt due to how popular it seems to be.

I'm aware everyone wants every Mii Costume to be playable, but I'm at least hoping they make more of them into Assist Trophies this time ala Knuckles.

I want Black Knight to summonable if only so Ike can channel his inner gorilla any time he's on the enemy's side.

Interesting, but while now there is much, much more competition against him, why would Sakurai would give him a Mii Costume to him instead of any other popular FE character?

Heroes wasn't even out yet, and at the time his costume was released (July 31 2015), the BK fanbase was really all he had in term of revelancy beside a "appareance" in Awakening. So he must be really that loved by fan for Sakurai to see it and be like, "Hey, let's throw them a bone".

That, or i'm just looking for clues that aren't there. Not that it's strange like I said, this is Smash we are talking about.

Hopping on the Caeda for Smash hype train years after it stopped being relevant is one of my bigger Smash regrets lol. If I only knew her as well back then as I do now.

The Classic design all the way. It's a way more appealing design IMO, and it's the Simon most associated with the Castlevania games on Nintendo systems.

Plus, a lot of people thought Pac-Man would have his modern design, but Sakurai instead opted for his classic one instead, so I think the Classic design for Simon is actually pretty likely.

Knowing Sakurai (and by that I mean taking a shot in dark), I think he'd go with both the Classic design, and the Chronicles design. I prefer the Chronicles design best. As for Light Yagami Judgment... what where they thinking?

I think the Black Knight Mii costume may be based off his trophy model. At any rate, it wouldn't be an implausible scenario since Sakurai confirmed the Flying Man Mii costume was based off a 3DS model that was scrapped.

Classic should be a given, but I like Lord of Shadows too since it keeps the "barbarian aesthetic" intact of the original design. Plus having Simon be a little gruff helps him visually and tonally stand out from the rest of the cast more.

$5 says it was also because of convince. Most of Mii Costumes re-used trophy assets.

I remember making a moveset where she could switch hitboxes between a sword & lance, with Pegasus as Up-Special (FE3 had the dismount gimmick).

Blaze is my most wanted Sonic character if I had to choose, but I don't think she'd be picked over the unique and iconic Tails/Eggman or the easily implementable and highly popular Shadow.

Tails is out because he's in the background on a stage, Eggman isn't exciting anymore with Bowser Jr. having his hypothetical playstyle, and Shadow may still be an AT.

Unneeded, but i wouldn't mind a Pilot class that takes inspiration from pilotwings resort and pilotwings in general, even though I would prefer a straight up Pilotwings character instead.

Blaze is literally the best ''I'm Sonic in a way" character they've invented in the Sonic games.

Shadow is too ''kool" with a k. He reminds me of Venom and Gambit in that they're.....alright, but they're really not all that special beyond a cool concept trying to mimic someone that came before them.

We don't even talk about Silver.

Really her only competition is Mighty. I really do like Mighty and Ray.

Metal Sonic is pretty much the original counterpart to Sonic. Well, aside from Silver Sonic, who existed before him, but he's not as well-known.

I like Metal Sonic.

That's what happens when Mia and Nephenee are almost always on my team for PoR/RD and are HEAVY hitters for the women's run. Them plus Ilyana makes everything go great
