That Chrom call back would actually be nice.
Rayman probably. He was in as a trophy and he isn't owned by another console making company. I'd like Banjo more though, mechanically, they'd be more fun. So would either Rash or Fulgore for Rare characters.
If it's not any of those 4, then I'd probably expect Simon Belmont. He's a pretty classic game character as it is. And showing him off on the big stage would work.
Heihachi is a good one. I won't be surprised if we get a second Namco rep considering they're developing this one too. Remember last game Pac-Man was a shoo in because of Namco's involvement. Probably not the same for Heihachi or whomever but I think it's still incredibly likely.

Isn't EVO a fighting game tourney? I doubt we'll get a reveal in the first place if it isn't Spring Man or Heihachi.
Eh. It looks ok. at least better than i thought. don't really like Mega Man and Ice Man's redesigns though, and Mega Man's voice is actually killing me.

I believe he said it on a Friday and we got the video on Monday. I definitely expect some kind of notice from him or Nintendo next week if we get something at EVO, doubt it'll be a random surprise reveal.
That could be but the post I was answering said hypothetically if the reveal wasn't Heihachi as he's one of the most predicted along with Spring Man. Side note I don't care for Heihachi for the same reasons I never cared for Ryu or Little Mac. Too basic human. I do like playing as Little Mac now though.
Yea but Smash is a fighting game, so any new character would be fighting game related, especially if they are added to the available demo build there (which I doubt).

Not me. I don't care for them to do something innovative with the series but I still want a bramd new game with new race tracks and a new look and feel.
Probably Chrom or Simon. I want to say Chrom because he is a bit of a meme within the community of Smash (though not in the way I'd like) and he was downright mocked the last time. I want to see him get his time to shine after the beatdown he received (honestly I think he had it worse then Waluigi).
If Kid Icarus gets a sequel years after Myth and Monsters then F-Zero GX needs a sequel.
Not impossible, but I don't think they should do it. There's enough from the Classic games alone for Mega Man content. And then there's so much from Mega Man X, Battle Network, Legends and so on to pull from.
I doubt we're getting any character reveals at Evo. The only characters I could see being revealed would be Spring Man or Heihachi. I think the former appeared too late into Smash Ultimate's development to be considered, the the latter was rejected for Smash 3DS/Wii U because Sakurai felt that implementing his movement would be too difficult. Granted, Sakurai could always come back to the idea, but I personally don't see it happening.
I'm still of the opinion that no new 3rd Party character at E3 makes it more likely than not we won't get another one at all. It would just be bizarre to not announce them at E3 if they had them. I don't think they'd want to risk people missing the announcement and there's no 'safe' place I'm aware of to announce without less hardcore gamers missing it between E3 and release. E3 is like the one time non-Nintendo fans watch Nintendo stuff.
The only one I see that has the most potential of being in danger is Jigglypuff due to her low priority. A reboot is going to change things up

The only ones I disagree with on this roster is Ninten and Hilda even though they seem like to have good chances being Echo Fighters
Ness was nearly cut from Melee in favor of Lucas so keep that in mind when you're referring to cutting characters.
I wouldn't necessary say that it's fully a want on Zeraora. Z's chances would depend on what the Pokemon Company pick for their new Pokemon character due to how popular certain Pokemon are. Right now, the Alolan starters, Mimikyu, Lycanroc, and Zeraora are some of the most popular picks for a new Pokemon rep so far and I'm fine with any of them getting in
Considering the first character revealed is Mario for returning characters, I expect it to be one of the 3rd parties or Luigi getting revealed last.
Well I could argue that Mewtwo is a Legendary Pokemon, which is the same status Zeraora has minus being Legendary AND Mystical
As much as I like Chrom being in, I think we may need to take a step back and realize that adding 3 people from the same game (Lucina, Robin, and Chrom) would be a bit overkill considering we have so many Fire Emblem games with different characters. I get that Fates saved the series, but it's time for a diversity in the series

Well Cloud & Bayonetta were shown out of E3. Was it a different situation, yes. But it still happened. And Ultimate has a different reveal schedule than previous Smash games.
What do I want? Fully unique non-echo Chrom with a weapon changing gimmick that allows him to alternate between the Exalted Falchion and the Blessed Lance, with a Javelin toss as one of his specials, and a trailer that features an awesome remix of Divine Decree (Ablaze) where he gets his revenge on Captain Falcon, and afterwards Sakurai says he was added due to his strong ballot support superseding his hesitation to add more Fire Emblem characters. And then a Switch port of Soul Calibur 6 is announced with Chrom as a guest character. Year of Chrom, baby.
Don't forget roasting thing was done by Viridi and in character with her. It doesn't have to reflect creators' opinion about him.
