So I've been playing a bit of Doom 2016 on my upgraded PC.
It's considerably more fun than I expected. I haven't always been the hugest fan of Bethesda games since Fallout 3 put a really sour taste in my mouth (HATED it), but this one is way more my speed. It's action packed and crazy.
However, I'm still questioning whether Doom Marine has any potential as a Smash character whatsoever. It would seem that putting him in Smash would be a VERY difficult challenge for the developers, because on top of having to avoid realistic guns (which cuts out a significant portion of his arsenal), the game is also too steeped in Judeo-Christian iconography to be censored without cutting out a significant portion of the game's content. They wouldn't be able to put any of the game's most iconic demons as enemies in a Doom-based level, or even have a stage based on Hell (which is where the majority of the game takes place), due to the Christian-esque depiction of demons. That would probably offend a lot of people.
Bayonetta manages to get away with it, yes, but the thing about Bayonetta is that while she fights angels, the angels in her game have their own unique and bizarre designs and do not resemble angels from any known religious scripture. One of the angels resembles a two-headed eyeless dragon with a giant upside down cupid face for a body. With its unique designs it manages to avoid the iconography problem. I don't think Doom will be able to get away with the same thing because a massive portion of its content has to do with that kind of iconography.
On top of that they already announced that they've added support for GameCube controllers in several games.
So yeah, this isn't really a question.

The Switch already has two USB ports on the dock that exactly match the ones for the Gamecube Controller adapter. If Smash Five for the switch came out, will the developer find a way to make game cube controllers allowed? What are your thoughts?
