There's just, a difference between mechanically broken and morally broken, alright? And morally broken is ALWAYS going to outweigh the mechanics when the morales gets bad bad.

I think it's after years of dealing with video game companies's garbage that I know if you don't stomp your foot down and say "This is **** and you deserve to feel bad for making it" then you get twice as bad the next time they make a sequel. We all know what happened to Soul Calibur, right?

Not knowing how to not be rude doesn't justify being rude, just so you know.

I don't really disagree with what you're saying, morals are very important, and I get that Fates goes a bit farther than just "scraping the edge" of morality, but I still don't think that justifies being incredibly rude to people for having differing thoughts on the matter, or even calling it the worst game ever.

If breaking morals is the biggest dealbreaker, then I'd argue that games like Ride to Hell: Retribution would qualify more so than FE: Fates.

Also, your Soul Calibur point is lost on me. I've never played those games.

Wii Music isn't a terrible game. Just forget E3 2008 and it's just harmless, casual mediocrity.

Other M's story is terrible but the gameplay isn't as broken as Sticker Star's. At least there's a point to defeating enemies in that game.

Star Fox Zero has dumb controls but the gameplay and level design is more satisfying than Sticker Star.

The CDI games weren't made by Nintendo.

Urban Champion came out like 30+ years ago. I expect better now.

DK's series is fine.
Star Fox didn't sell so well but whatever it still got a game.
Yoshi's series is also fine.
Kirby sells like hotcakes.
Shulk is technically a Homs and not a human. Xenoblade's also selling well.
Pikmin usually has good reception whenever it comes out once in a blue moon.
Splatoon also sells like hotcakes.
Yooka Laylee was an indie success.

All of these are non-human. The only non-human franchises I can recall being super dead is Chibi-Robo and the anthro part of Rare's library (sans Battletoads). You're spitting some cold fire, my dude.

Anyways, after the whole mascot war fiasco going on, game developers have always been and are once again creating and using human characters. Animals or any non human creatures haven’t really been used for main characters that often in video games aside from being mascots. Aside from Pokemon, Nintendo development teams usually stick with human characters for their worlds and stories, and haven’t been making new “non human” main characters.

Though I do wish they started making more “non human” protagonists with personality and depth.

So it's been confirmed that the digital file size of Ultimate is 16 GiG. Around SSB4's file size. I think this kind of disconfirms an SSE type of Adventure Mode.

I'm glad that I buy the physical copies.

If you’re making a more serious animal like main character, why would make them cartoony in design? You would probably make a more grittier/serious realistic like design for them, in order to convey a message for the players to take more seriously.

I think he's saying that people said Soul Calibur IV was bad, so Team Soul, not understanding exactly what people didn't like about it, decided to soft reboot the series with new characters that replaced old favourites (e.g. Natsu for Taki). People hated Soul Calibur V even more, so Team Soul decided to just take the series waaaaay back to it's beginning, essentially rebooting the franchise.

Wasn't Shadow the Hedgehog Sonic Team's attempt to appeal to the edgy teenagers in the American audience who said that Sonic should have a gun, or something? (Which started with Gamma, then later Eggman/Tails).

Surprise, surprise! Those guys were just a vocal minority, and the game was a guilty pleasure at best. XD

I am not too fond with Ash, but I like Ash. I am actually happy with the Pokémon Anime leaking into the games. It gives both the anime and games more flavor and power.

It's a remake of Yellow. The only main game of the series that lets any substantial anime references in. It'd be kinda out of place if they didn't have anything based on the game it's a remake of. Yellow was meant to be the more "Anime accurate" version of Red & Blue.

Besides, it's not like you are playing as Ash in Let's Go. The Trainer is pretty clearly someone different, heck it's not even really Red either.

One day I was searching for some stupid meme on Google and came across an image comparing Shadow the Hedgehog to Mario + Rabbids, with good ol' IMPACT FONT text saying "It's okay when Mario uses guns but not when Shadow uses them, Nintendo fanboy hypocrites!"

I had a good laugh and clicked on it, sure it was satire. To my utter dismay, it was not. Apparently there are decently-sized groups of Sonic fans who still long for the days that Shadow murdered innocent human soldiers in cold blood and who hate Nintendo with a burning passion. Almost surely too young to have ever participated in the classic console wars, so I'm not sure why.

I saw one of them say they'd love if the next Sonic game looked to Doom 4 for inspiration rather than Mario Odyssey.

People have long appreciated Goshogun: Time Etranger, Minky Momo is starting to be apreciated, but Pokemon anime is still this weird thing with folk for some reason. He put a ton of thought into the Pokemon anime/movies he wrote if you read his blogs, whether you consider the results good or not is up to you.

The Pokémon Company should have let Ash's journey end where Takeshi Shudo intended it to, then done what Digimon Adventure 02 did (introduce a new cast of characters, with the old cast becoming the mentors).

Then we wouldn't get complaints like "Ash never gets better at battling", "Ash never wins a(n important) tournament", "Ash never ages" and "TPC will go against game logic to ensure Ash loses".

Would the series be better for it? Who knows. It's an interesting thought though.
