I like Corrin. I agree at the time Fire Emblem should have been fine with Roy back but whatever. Corrin got me to buy Fates and it was alright.

Huh...I would've just chalked it up to us already knowing about them but the "leaker" did specify that Ridley, Inkling and Daisy were characters. Yea I mean this "leak" is like 99% fake lol.

No one should ever give up on a character, and I certainly don't think Waluigi is any different.

That being said, the way people have been responding to his disconfirmation and harassing Sakurai ain't exactly helping his chances in the next Smash game. It's okay to be upset, but be civil about it.

Back in 2008 when Sakurai said pretty much compared her to a generic Waddle Dee by saying "I won't answer that because then people will ask why a Waddle Dee isn't playable" or something like that. Hardly the same as "I tried to make this character playable twice"

Personally I think he's one of the more likely characters right now. I do find it odd how he seems to be left out in a lot of fake leaks however. Fake leakers step up your game!

He's actually got a decent chance. He's relevant, Kirby hasn't got a newcomer since Brawl and he got some votes in the ballot.

Personally I think he's one of the more likely characters right now. I do find it odd how he seems to be left out in a lot of fake leaks however. Fake leakers step up your game!

I still think him being a Waddle Dee might prevent them from getting in. Not because he couldn't have a unique moveset, but because Sakurai might be wary of backlash from non-Kirby fans who think it's the equivalent of adding a Goomba.

If Bandana Dee is in, I expect him to not be revealed before release. Just for better PR.

EDIT: just occurred to me it's fully possible Sakurai might consider BD the joke character this time around. Correct me if I'm wrong, but wasn't he a joke boss who could be beat by sucking him in without damaging him in his first appearance? And wasn't that the only one Sakurai was creatively responsible for?

Y'know, I'm surprised Bandana Dee isn't the main character everyone is speculating about. A few months back, a datamine for Woolly World suggested Daisy and Waddle Dee were getting different variations of their amiibo. Flash forward to today and Daisy is in Smash.

With this in mind, I'd argue that Bandana Dee currently has a better chance than K. Rool. Sounds a little crazy when I put it that way, but he's one of the most popular characters requested for Smash.

Didn't Sakurai say he picked Smash Ultimate newcomers (along with EVERYONE) back in December 2015? Fire Emblem Fates was the most recent Fire Emblem game at the time. Corrin definitely would have been added as a newcomer for Smash Ultimate if he/she wasn't added as SSB4 DLC.

The closet “proof” there is is Echoes being the most recent Fire Emblem game...though of course so is Heroes and the upcoming Three Houses, and with each FE newcomer other than Marth and Lyn (though she’s not a playable character of course) has been used to promote an upcoming game or came from the most recent game in the series. Other than that, there’s no actual proof.

I think after knowing this game might be more fan servicey with it's choice that Bandanna Dee is just as likely if not more. The Kirby series is loved in Japan and Bandanna Dee is heavily marketed. There's really no reason not to add him. The whole "He might be seen as a goomba" completely ignores all that marketing he receives.

Didn't the data miner make a mistake or something? I remember them back tracking on it shortly after and that's why people stopped holding on to it.

It could also be for literally any other Waddle Dee amiibo. It's possibly we could still get a Star Allies line, yes it would be weird timing but the game as a whole has had weird timing (seriously they've been teasing the next wave of DLC forever and still haven't mentioned Adeline). Basically while it's interesting it isn't actually supporting evidence.

Maybe people will pay attention to the warning this time, miracles do happen.
Item #1. Last year, Nintendo released large games like Mario Odyessy, Breath of the Wild, etc. as a result, they had fewer releases. This year, they have a larger amount of releases, because there focus more on their spinoff games, Mario Party, Smash, Mario Tennis Aces, Etc. As a result. what if we got this huge amalgamation character representing every spinoff game? I had two ideas of how that would work. One, It would simply encompass all the games in its move set, buuuuuut, that's boring, so, Two, first, you select the character, then, you select the game their repping, then, the playable character from the game, all of them would play a little differently, like every alt skin being an echo fighter. Obviously, this won't happen, as it would be almost impossible to implement, but it was a fun exercise. Also unrelatedly, who wants a Mario strikers switch? and additional, not just to see Peach/Daisy/Rosalina/other (specify) in another... sporty... outfit?

Item #2. I'm hoping for alt skins that represent different versions of the character, like an 8-bit version of Mario, sports costumes, etc. more specifically, classic sonic, not the 3-d one from generations, 8-bit Mario, And MK8 Rosalina. (don't ask me how the Rosalina one would work, you tell me)

There probably will be around half way through the month. Robin and Lucina were revealed a month after e3, I hope something similar happens again.
