Well, technically, Hyrule Castle 64 is approximately at the position where you fought Ganondorf in OoT, just several years in the past where there’s a different castle

Well here are the pros/cons of each Microsoft rep
BANJO KAZOOIE:
+ classic character of older nintendo history
+ a duo charater like ice climbers
+ phil recommends banjo for smash
+ could pull a megaman and revive his own franchise
= is just as likely and important as steve
- granted a revival may end up being nuts and bolts 2: electric boogalo
STEVE:
+ represents one of the biggest games in the world
+ would bring a lot of new faces to the game just for steve
+ would also bring a lot of $
+ could bring heavy promotion for the Smash Bros. series in general
= may draw away some players, but the potential massive gain is worth it
= is just as likely and important as banjo
- animation of the character may look choppy
MASTER CHIEF:
+ sick ass music tracks
+ lots of unique potential for alien weaponry rather than guns (ala Snake)
- game's background of violence may be too much for smash
- has never appeared on a nintendo system
- nintendo isnt gonna do a doritos/mtn. dew promotion anytime soon

Also a good choice, because certainly the role I like him the most in has like a 0.01% chance of even being considered for something like Smash.

That being Rean Schwarzer in Trails of Cold Steel, but Falcom getting anything in smash is so unlikely I don't want to even give myself even the vaguest sense of hope (and if they did get anything it'd probably be Adol from Ys since that series has been around since 89 and all.)

Impa for Sheik Echo, make it Skyward Sword Impa so even more Zelda game designs get shown.

People are overestimating the potential gain from Minecraft getting a playable character, too. I was going to say this earlier but my breaks are too short.

Anyway, people who say "it'll bring in trillions of new players" are ignoring the players who already play both Minecraft and Smash. It also ignores the fact that most Minecraft players are kids without jobs. They would have to rely on their parents to buy a switch for them and then buy Smash.

If they already had a Switch they were most likely buy Smash anyway. Its kind of a system seller.

So, yeah. It would encourage more younger players to get into Smash for sure but the amount is not nearly as high as some in here seem to expect.

EDIT: I should stress that there WOULD be gain in adding Steve most likely, I just don't like people arguing for it based on an overexaggeration.
