Mario. I play Mario a lot in every Smash game. Of course if we're given the choice of the OG12, I've got my boy Ness to start with. But yeah, OG 8, Mario for sure. Love his playstyle.
Kirby. I'm best at him out of the OG 8.
Without Lip and Captain Rainbow, and maybe including Ashley or Isabelle I see this list as possible.
I don't think he's right personally, but Bandana Dee not being there doesn't mean there's no chance. Admittedly though, I'm kinda interested in seeing the Dee in Smash.
If at least ONE person other than me would like to answer Yoshi, I'd greatly appreciate it. He always gets sidelined!!!

Yeah, it was a joke, I don't even know if it's the real Vergeben, and even if he is, I would not believe it 100%.

I just go with the flow. I don't trust any leaks at all, but It doesn't mean I'm not open to hearing them out. Assuming that list actually ends up being legit, I'd be a little bummed by no Dee, but I'd be hype as hell for Lip.
Decidueye - In my eyes, one of the two frontrunners for a Gen VII Pokemon, with the other being Lycanroc. This I'd believe.
Weren't people saying the same thing for Waluigi, and then Daisy Ridley happened? and now I'm afraid for Bandanna Dee fans.
Maybe because Sakurai has to factor in items like the Super Scope when brainstorming movesets and animations for newcomers, particularly one with nonstandard proportions like Ridley and would uses toy model to help him figure out animations and stuff like that. He did talk about using a modeling doll when designing Greninja after all.

I never saw why people viewed waluigi as likely, the only thing going for him is that he's kinda popular I guess, I've always seen paper mario or captain toad as more likely. Meanwhile Bandana Dee is popular, has unique moveset potential, is relevant, is important in his series and is from a series that only has 3 characters currently, in my eyes the dee has everything going for him.
Bandanna Waddle Dee is still on my fighter speculation list. Moveset could focus on utilizing his spear.
In my experience, Waluigi is insanely more popular the Bandanna Dee, specifically in the realm of fans beyond hardcore smash speculators. It's mostly cause of the Memes, but outside of Smashboards I see Waluigi talked about way more.

Well since we know that Corneria is already coming back but redesigned to look like Star Fox Zero this pretty much proves he's a fake, but regardless I love this guy.
