These last couple hours are passing painfully slow.

As far as which characters I expect to see today, I'm going to go with these:

1. Rayman
2. Ridley
3. Snake
4. Simon
5. a first party dude that I'm not sure I can guess.
And then Inklings will be shown in depth obvi.

I originally didn't really expect Rayman to actually make be playable, but Nintendo and Ubisoft are constantly reinforcing their relationsip, first with Rabbids and now with Starlink. As far as Snake/Simon/Ridley go, I just think they're all E3-level reveal characters. Its not that I necessarily think all the Vergeben stuff will be revealed here. Anyways, those are my predictions for E3 Smash. Now if these last 52 minutes would just speed up....

Not necessarily. While Nomura is the primary person to discuss this with, Disney would still likely be involved. I'm sure they'd be fine with the hidden Mickey if they approve the rest of the character.

I personally prefer to watch on my own and then watch vods later. It lets me process all my own thoughts without worrying about someone elses. Once I feel like I've got an understanding of what I saw, I go see how others feel about it.

It's actually a port with less stuff than 4. Sakurai said he'd been working a lot less this time around, so clearly that means all the content couldn't be ported over in time. Enjoy the 12 man roster, 10 items, and 4 stages though

That's fine, I hope they do use a new lighting engine though. Textures and models in that game are good, but felt a bit flat.

So long as you've already played Breath of the Wild, I wouldn't question your decision in the slightest.

My most basic expectations:

-At least 5 of the original 8 will be shown.
-At least two starters from Melee, Brawl, and SSB4.
-Three newcomers with one being third party.
-At least two veterans shown with major moveset revamps.
