Almost one month has passed since release. In retrospect....

  • This is by far the best Smash ever. Like, I don't even know how they will top this.

  • Pretty freakin' good; I have a few qualms over things like internet play, balancing issues, etc.

  • It's ok, but [insert Smash game here] is better.

  • I'd rather play Parcheesi.

BS prediction that knowing Sakurai may be true: He made the roster around the time Echoes came out. He wanted to include Celica or Alm, but figured one would feel incomplete without the other, so he chose both. FE roster gets even more bloated.

I'm guessing Bill could be referring to a retro or timeless 3rd party from days past. So many people might feel "older" by seeing that character again.

I saw the full tweet. It's replying to a Metal Gear thing. Snake's either back and/or new Metal Gear Solid games.

I'm genuinely excited by that prospect. Not only is it a funny meta joke (been gone for a game and looks like this already), but his active camoflage would be so cool, even if it was just an effect on his crouch or something. It's such a good way to combine elements from different series in a way that makes sense, because he'd be projecting the textures of different stages onto his suit.

Oh man, if tomorrow it's confirmed that everyone from Smash 4 plus Ice Climbers, Wolf and Snake are returning, and that Ridley, Simon Belmont and Sub-Zero (as well as the previously announced Inklings) are newcomers, that would be one hell of a day for Smash fans.

Alright, I'm officially going dark until after the direct. Just a few words of advice for everyone to remember to both keep your expectations in check and to not assume any rumors are 100% true. Not that I think it'll be underwhelming at all, and I know that some rumors are seeming incredibly likely, but it's best to play it safe with this sort of thing. Upsets from companies can happen at E3 and Nintendo is no exception.

With that all being said, I'm preparing to be absolutely floored by Smash and I can't wait to see what they have to show. It's been a wild ride these past few months, thanks to you all for being like a second family to me. Wishing the best of luck to everyone and their characters, I'll see you guys on the flipside!
