I may be wrong, but sonic is not as hype as he was back in Brawl, specially since we have more third party now
So it would not surprise that me that much to not see him in the demo

I wish you were right.
But the Sonic fanbase and everyday gamer are still "hyped" for him, even childs, since apparently, Sonic Mania was brought more by Children than old fan-
Sonic is like Mario, he's intemporal and as sad as it is...
Just him being in the game makes the game sell more, and it's the same for all Third parties, they're console and game seller by themselves

Mr game and watch ‘s hand is hover over Warios face. Lucina is too far away from other reps. Why would they add Dr Mario again and not Mewtwo. And why dark pit! I’ve seen that Bowser Jr render before. Where’s Ridley? No Miit Fighters. Border is inconsistent!

But Stenee is 100% believable. More likely than Mario himself.

Here's what I'll say about Stenee...

While it might be the most BAFFLING Pokemon suggestion I've seen, it might be the one that represents the Alola region the best.

...For whatever that's worth. If we went by that logic for X/Y, we'd have gotten Furfrou in Smash Bros.

True. Maybe the way he explains would make sense. He's like a boss from what he said. Not a regular character and probably would be treated different in competitive Smash.
This seems nice. Ridley is boss.
It's giant. Powerfull. Make him a regular character would be like turn him into Firebrand (UMVSC3). I would rather don't have Ridley as Firebrand.

Do you think Sakurai would consider getting rights for a Space Invaders assist trophy like Smash 4 had Galaga and the special flag from Namco? It's super important to video game history, and the assist trophy practically creates itself conceptually.

I don't know how you can be into Smash Bros, know who Ridley is and how people wanted him, and know the context of a nearly contextless athlete character, yet not know a pokemon from the most recent generation

During the whole trailer we can see a carboard box, but Snake never get out from it, we lose hope, thinking it's just an easter egg....


At the end of the direct, we get a codec call with him and Colonel, asking him if he managed to sneak back inside of Super Smash Bros, Snake answer saying that he hopefully didn't make the colonel waiting, before getting out of the box saying "It's Showtime". All of this being a reference from his brawl reveal.

Is there a place in a relevant game that normally has a lot of cardboard boxes in it, to be a stage in which Snake could hide for most of the trailer without it being obvious?

I've been through a few of these release cycles, the "True" leak is always one that gives a combination of equal parts excitement, and dissapointment. This rumor made me feel this way.

It's just ridiculous enough that it very well might be true.

This guy has fooled me, that's all I can say about that.

Honestly the thing I'd be most upset about is that Kirby is piloting the Robobot instead of Susie. At least that'd be a unique character acting as the pilot.


Fake as all hell though. Good taste though, since the leaker wants Lowenthal Marth.
