I think we'd all prefer to hear the commentary even if it is a bit messed up

And dya see how much a hassle recording is now? :p
it usually isn't that bad, just my laptop decided it wanted to be **** for the day lol :|

well give me the vids before next monthly and ill try fix it I guess

upload them for now anyway =) (thinks I can download them from youtube)
you can try but all the dropped frames of the vids is the reason why it goes outta sync and is jumpy =/

doesnt project m have that "load without hacked wii" thingy?

anyhow non shsd or whatever is just a normal sd, go for a 2gb one, if you check your firmware it would take like 5 min to get the files you need (unless you want the whole package, hacked melee, usbloader for wii games etc)
I don't know about the 'load without hacked wii' thingy, but I will come on msn later at sometime and ask you some question to help me learn about it and just what to do and benefits and such :)

If (and this is just a 'what if' question, don't read more into it or tell how the scenario is impossible) Project M were to come out and was literally just an upgrade to Melee, a perfect conversion of the content within Melee with the additional content of Brawl perfectly tailored to integrate seamlessly into Melee...
would all you Melee players move onto Project M and stop playing Melee?

Just a hypothetical question, I mean nothing by it.

Depends what becomes the tournament standard, if it's exactly the same, and becomes tournament standard, I'm sure we'll all play it.
If it doesn't, I'm sure we can all enjoy it as a side event.

I genuinely feel Melee doesn't need any additional content, apart from maybe a wider musical selection. Brawl graphics look weird, Brawl stages are rubbish, Brawl characters are gay, and there are just about enough viable and non-viable characters to keep things interesting when people play characters like mewtwo, but on the whole relatively simple (as long as you know the 6-7 matchups you'll do well in tournaments).

try and confirm in either thread and say if you can bring a set up
LOL I actually forgot about this tournament but will still be looking to come to it.....I think you need to advertise a bit better to the melee community though as i'm not sure how much people are going to it.

But I will try to come to it...don't really see why I can't atm and also it's free money lol.

everyone knows that good commentary consists of two commentators, if its jsut one it sounds silly.
Huh lol....i've heard commentary with one person before and it's been perfectly alright, two people aren't necessary and if there's a commentary setup im not gonna get scared to commentate when im the only one sitting there and desperately try to find someonelse to do it with me lol.

One person is fine.

Not really....it will never be better then melee, I can already tell but even if it was to be I still wouldn't stop playing it.

thats what the purpose of project M was right to create a game that could potentially keep both communitys happen and replace the tourney standard

if its all good and fast like melee why not right

but we all know snake and MK are broken as **** lol

you're still a prick for calling me a crap player in that vid

commentary- it's never gonna be perfect and it's just a bit of fun and banter (yes, I said it) to go with the matches.

Is there gonna be an OOC smashfest anytime soon? If so I'd really like to come along as I missed the monthly and feel I need to compensate :D

It wasn't made to keep both communities happy (if thats the word what you were meant to use) it was made to transform Brawl into a game with melee physics and re-create a fast paced game like it should have been....but it's not made to join the two communities, it's made for the melee players.

It isn't that much of a big issue though to complain when one person is doing commentary lol, it's just commentary, there doesn't have to be a outline for how it should be done since it's just a bit of fun, but of course you could just mute it since it's an issue for you until another commentator walks in which transforms the situation from boring into amazing instantly =O

I don't know, I haven't played Alpha Dash as much as I do dance from Sunday-Tuesday and other stuff on the other days but im gonna ask him, I have to find out what day Alpha Dash has off and also how long are you looking to stay since I know you're coming from outside of London?

I don't think it could be a long day sleepover smashfest thingy, like max stay around like 1 day making it (potentially when I get it confirmed) a 2 day event.

Sorry to double post, but that lag has really ruined the videos for me, I feel like im watching the matches in some shudder motion bull**** lol.

I really hope that this doesn't happen at GT5 and that we just have a more reliable recording equipment.

lol at the fuzz vs VA WS set
why lol?

FYI community: shouting "get on the edge" is distracting and generally unhelpful if you are trying to support me. The reason being it's not actually good to do this in a lot of situations. Fuzz recovers in a way that makes it look like he can't get to the stage but he actually can, getting edgehogs on falcon with peach is really hard. You cannot float and wait him out to see either otherwise the up B hits you. So please, everyone, stop doing this.

Exactly =P and this is true, there's a perfect height where you can choose if you wanna go on the stage or not, and if they try and hit you then you tech =)

Thanks for the vids jjlinyard even if they're lagging theyre still watchable

Yo VA you should seriously abuse b air more for edgeguard

Wrong again. It's easy to tech and the animation is so long that you can end up being hit by the up B if they do manage to tech. You were getting away with it vs me because I suck at teching.

Please, no more advice on peach edgegaurds until you main her yourself (when you realise how **** she is).

well, when falcon is a certain distance from the edge it's pretty much nearly always free

unless he's near the wall then its not worth doing it. D air instead? although with good smash DI they can go down or behind you

5000th post baby!

I did some really dumb things this monthly and I'm gonna work on polishing my style I guess :/ Right now I feel pretty spammy

you are spammy. and dair is generally better, but you don't understand the issue of comitting with peach edgegaurds, they are just tricky.
