haha ok I was only messing. I like to think my marth is pretty good though, I've always used him just not had confidence to play him in tournament. I used him against charles in southampton and I got some nice gimps. and tbh I think I've always performed better than you at tournaments chrisboi with the exception of one where you got 4th and I got 5th, I lost to Charles and Z and you lost to Z and Frostbyte.

Im just lucky that there arent that many shiek mains in the UK, but its still a problem cos at GGT2, got sent to losers and eliminated by shieks, and southampton got taken out by monty so its been my bane so far

I think Ganon is a quite good match-up against shiek, they can both chain grab eachother pretty easily, shieks got her fair while ganon has his dair and fair for finishing moves. shieks and ganons uair are both pretty good for when oppenents on platforms. edgegarding but i think ganon has more choices for edge guarding moves, like all his aerials can edgeguard pretty well.

Having said all of this about sheiks being such a ****, I find it hard to beat the spacies and falcon with her.. I find her much better against floatier characters, say Marth. Although I've only played against deathgazer, really, and he's so **** fast x.x

Grabs r the best friends of all the zelda series characters if u use them right then u cld completely own. It also helps bring up ur general skill coz u learn 2 use mindgames 2 put ppl in position where u can grab then combo =] works wonders on spacies 4 link

no uthrow, its easy on falcon and fox, slightly harder to do on falco cos its like ganons where you have to guess which direction theyre gonna DI but if ur slow to react, u can still get in an easy fair/bair

dthrow is still good tho gainst lighter chars cos it sets up nicely a bair for those who dont know how to DI it (i mean, who does lol)

Still getting grabs as zelda is harder than any other char imo cos of how slow she is

Just to say something more about Sheik/Ganon. She beats him about the same as in NTSC, she loses her easy chain grab and stuff but he loses the ridiculous fair and dair kills. Ganons chaingrab is ridiculously hard but not that bad on sheik I suppose. Swizzy can chaingrab me 0 - 72% almost everytime he gets a grab but I still win because she's a total *****.

She can't do as much from grabs as she can in NTSC and she can't kill him with as many options.

What's everyones best match ups? I'd say mine is Falco as every character. I know how to negate his mobility and gimping him is easy.

Yo Fuzz as I'm deffo coming to this now d'u want me to bring a setup in case there's a lot of ppl - wud save u buying at least one TV is what I was thinking. Also I've got my hands on a capture card that works with Pal-60 so hopefully I'll be able to record some stuff. Don't suppose anyone knows how to avoid horrible blurry video (presumably caused by framerate drops) when capturing in anything above 352x250 do they? I'm using a Dazzle DVC 100 with Windows Movie Maker and atm it's a choice between low resolution but smooth or high resolution but motion-sickness inducing video :/

And I agree Sheik is gay but luckily Fox is better so meh

Id say falco has a good match up against most characters with lasers stun, dair bairs and shines (of course) but i think his recovery and airbourne kinda evens it out, and he can easily get koed from a fsmash when hes in midair. especially marths Fsmash lol.

I think my best match up is captain falcon on FD with falco, fairly easy to combo, can always use lasers and make them approach you, Falcons upB recovery is easy to edgehog, or shine bair does the job :]

i have the dazzle 100, bort it from ebay recently, try AMCAP its got good resolution and captures well but the memory is 500mb a minute.

but you can always covert the videos :]

Id say, as Marth, fox falco and falcon. probly roy too, but no-one ever plays him, despite his clear awesomeness. With Sheik I'd say Marth and jiggs, as theyre so floaty and fair is so lovely

You need to check you ganon info dude, you definitely cannot chain throw fox on 0%. Swizzy (my friend the ganon player who happens to be sick now) uses dthrow > jab as a psuedo chaingrab on Fox until about 30% where he'll start actually trying to chaingrab which lasts quite a while if you can get it off. What you should know is that ganons chaingrab is by far the hardest in the game and chaingrabbing fox is something that even the best ganon in the world (kage) doesn't do with any kind of consistency.

Falco's match ups are pretty nice on paper but if someone knows how to deal with him well he can lose a game pretty quick, see Taj and JV - 5 stock lol. Falcon is sooo easy to edgehog unless you're playing SS or Darkrain.

For me- Doc - Sheik - as theres quite a lot to exploit with Doc and lots of goood combos chaingrabs and edgeguards. Either than or Fox Fox - but I don't know if thats more of a matchup I like to play rather than one I do well at. I do alright though

nope, he doesn't get far enough to get recorded, then neither do I really. no one knows how good he is except me. when I started learning advanced tech he wasn't bothering to but we'd been playing together since release date. eventually he started learning advanced techniques and now he's just getting amazing.

Thanks dude, one more question though, which program do u use to capture? I know Deathgazer mentioned AMcap but I'd prefer to use something else if possible cus the Secam-B thing in AMcap is what makes PAL-60 signals capture in colour in OTHER programs, and when I try to use it to do the actual capturing as well I'm having problems. If u do use AMcap, how exactly do u set it up so it works (among other things, a BIG sound desynch is happening on AMcap which didn't happen in Windows Movie Maker.

It works better wit the offical studio software ive found but I used a free alternative called winavi capture dwn side is the sound cnt b captured using this program but if u hve a 2 female phono into a 3.5mm jack then u can put that into ur mic n record by that.

I found that this program works just aswell as amcap coz u can change the video 2 SECAM-B and uses less processing power but I mainly use it coz I'm running vista which is a bit of a pain.

If ur using amcap fully then disable the preview it uses less processing power and syncs better hope this helps

But it's really a trail and improvement job 2 get the best frm the computer/laptop
