The idea of the PR itself would be the best way, but you have to consider that a lot of good players might not have shown up to some of these tournaments that decided the positions on the PR, and there is a chance that there are players that are better than some of the players on the PR.

I am not taking any shots at anybody or implying anything, I am just stating possibilities.

Chester, I heard that you have one of the best Doc's out there. I'd love to see it in action. Is he your secondary now or what?

And having a "tryout" and saturday is impractical. It would show who does the best vs Ontario. Newsflash! You won't be playing Ontario!! A good, solid crew consists of good players, a variety of characters and players who have experiance. I can garuntee that some of you toronto guys haven't played against a GOOD link player before. So if you went up against Damax, you would have no clue what to do. Same if you had to go up against Jih's gdorf. These are characters who don't get massed played, so most players lack experiance vs them.

And Dice is right (hmm kinda sounds like price is right), you guys might get gimped by the silly characters that us quebecers like to use. Plus, don't forget that you will have to face Poutine before the crew battle!

EDIT: I bet that Vwins' Luigi will tear you guys up!

I personally believe that Divine Knight should be on the team no matter what, other spots would be fought for...I'm sure people who play with me would agree

Kio is very experienced against Gdorf, not to mention his Link could possibly compete with Damax's. I wouldn't hesitate to give him a spot, and I'm honestly not saying that because he's in my crew, it's because I know for a fact that he's better than some people who played in the last Ontario Vs. Quebec crew battle. Devine Knight should be on the crew, but I don't think our word will be good enough, so check him out when we're there, I'm sure you'll agree. Anyway, no pressure, these are just some things to consider. Raynex and Unknown and Charles (C 3) are all solid, and should be considered.

lol at toronto peeps who are fighting for a place on the regional crew battle but they never went to a tournament outside toronto.

Kio how you getting there? Where were you yesterday? Did you buy your ticket already?

We need housing. Who is housing us.

Our bus will arrive at 7 30 in the morning on Saturday, who could possibly house us for the first couple hours before the tournament?

and there's no way any ontarian can compete with us anymore... we are playing 2 people that are WAY far beyond any1 skillwise


oh and i don't even know why you guys still talking about it... there's very good chance that we won't have time for a regional crew battle...

If you truely think that regionals are a waste of time because Quebec will win it, why don't we do pick up crews? And give us a chance, of course, of course

Pick up teams crews to make it go faster?

Toronto people sure like to talk **** about Lanowen and myself :( I thought I was cool with most of NNR but a lot of you sure seem to be on my balls lately. If you haven't played me in a tournament match, I'd say you can't accurately judge my playskill. In friendlies I try other characters, different strats, funny levels, etc. (see my sig). I know Lanowen does similar stuff in friendlies, so the same should apply to him.

IF Ont. vs Quebec even happens at this tournament, any Toronto people who think they're better than me and want my spot can play me for it. I'm perfectly willing to take on any of the other Toronto people considered for the other spots. If you win, good job; if you lose, please stop talking trash, it's really annoying me lately.

i was quoting bread post... i still think qc vs on would be ... close ... ( if bam and vwins don't play first -_- )

what's happening there is that every1 is scared of the 4 current crews registered... but **** man its the exact same thing about singles and teams ... get over it and register for crews ( im just like fustrated cuz crews are so fun and it been like 1 year since there was a crew tourny )

Teams crews? Sry but that doesn't sound like a great idea...

EDIT: Jih if you want to see more crews... call for draft crews instead then! No other crew 'cept NNR maybe will sign up and honestly they have a good reason to do so

Eff that, it'd be pro. At the very least, it would go twice as fast as normal crews, so we could still fit it in.

But I do think that pick up crews (elect 2 captains, have them choose one by one..if you don't get first pick you get first counterpick stage? I dunno) would be the coolest.

Who's fighting?

I'd just like to double check that there will be housing for the Toronto people for the 23rd and 24th. I'll be traveling by train with 1 or 2 others and all 3 of us will have snow boarding gear. Our train arrives at Queen Elizabeth Hotel at 9:15 pm. Could someone pick us up in something that could hold out snow boards? Sorry if I'm being a lot of trouble.

I've reread the last 3 or 4 pages a couple times now and I cannot find a single flame or any trash talking directed at Lanowen or yourself. Anyone here asking for a shot on an Ontario team (if there even will be one) has asked in a completely civil and polite manner. Also, I think I might be the only person asking for a spot. What makes you think that you're not cool with the people in our crew?

I was simply asking for a chance to try out, simply to play amongst ontario's bestand see how I do, simple as that. I was not intending to offend anybody, in all honesty, at this point, i'm in no position to. I myself have improved as a luigi player, and what better way to test your skills?

So the rumours are true... sorry to hear that, but hey, as long as it works for him, then the best of luck to him. On the plus side, that makes me the one and ONLY luigi main in NNR!

Figuring there's still only 4 crews and that singles and doubles won't take like 12 hours, there will likely be alot of time for regionnal. That is if crews don't pick up. So talking about it isn't hurting anyone, right?

I myself would like to see the rematch ~

roflolol. kk ill friendly you. my middle tier luigi vs your godly high skill gdorf. i'd mm but i just had enough to pay for the bus ticket to get there.

so yea. Us Torontonians are getting there rather early, so props to anyone we could chill with until the tourni. and i extend my thanks to whoever is housing us in advance. Looking forward to the tourni

If you guys wanna chill before the tourney, I can get into Montreal a bit earlier, but it would be a hassle for you guys to come to my place then go back out. Same goes for going to anyone else's house off the island.

That beeing said, let's invade Chet's crib ;D. Or Elef's ~ !

EDIT : Yes, C3, I was. Are you the Luigi I rested out of d-throw? o_O
