I just hope people aren't expecting TOO much since I don't want to see a complaint-fest around here after the Direct. Surely we're bound to get some cool and new stuff but it may not be of the caliber as some may think and expect.

I'll only accept the Mario Kart arcade approach if it also becomes available for home console one way or the other. Finding any nearby place that has the Mario Kart games is almost impossible (that's why I emulated Mario Kart Arcade GP 2).

Yeah, I've yet to see one in my local area myself.

It's going to be kind of interesting seeing what kind of control scheme they'll go for, if this is real. Smash with a traditional arcade stick and buttons may seem weird.

I also wonder if they'll add any new version exclusive characters.

A) Getting in trouble with Nintendo
B) Revealing information about the Direct
C) Lie and say he isn't in the Direct?

Notice how there's 24 characters now. If they added another row above it, we'd have 48. If nobody from Brawl was cut, this would be mean that there would be 37 portraits to represent them (because PT would probably have all three Pokemon in the same picture), leaving 11 for new characters. 39+11= 50 (not counting newcomers who are potentially multiple characters in one)

You watch it Live to avoid the spoilers the internet is wrought with. So you can have an actual experiance instead of reading on Smashboards or in video titles/ youtube comments, "oh hey *Insert smash character here* is confirmed for Smash 4 " You can see the character Trailer and have the hype build faster than Reggie's Body exudes readiness.

I bookmarked the Smash-Direct link and will watch it right after coming home from work. By that I'll avoid spoilers but main problem for me is probably the stream time... midnight in GER... :/

Hope for everything, expect nothing. I'm optimistic for this Smash Direct, I think it will be great... but at the same time, if we get Mii instead of Ridley, at least we got some gameplay footage!

It did that for me in Rosalina trailer. I was so hyped for Kirby in Mario Kart, and then it just flat out stops, only to start out again while it's showing Rosalina gameplay. That was quite confusing.

I hate how this makes for a reasonable roster size, despite it obviously being purely coincidental. Usually reading too much into stuff ends up with a very whacky result, but now that it actually ends up with a reasonable result it just annoys me since it's obviously just a coincidence.

When that Direct first aired, there was no Smash logo at the beginning at all. That it was a Rosalina reveal trailer was a complete surprise.

Well, the Miis are kinda gay. Which is why they are awesome enough for me to want them in the game.

Still expect a Sakurai vs Reggie vs Iwata vs Miyamoto if Miis are announced.

I think that's why I prefer Rosie and Ms. Fit's trailers most actually. They're incredibly misleading. Troll trailers are the best.
