Smash Bros Direct on April 8th, 3pm PST!!

I gave up trying to find excuses for characters I don't like to not appear in Smash a long time ago (excluding ones that had absolutely no chance to begin with like 4th party and more Sonic characters) so making up excuses to prevent Mii's appearing is just silly and somewhat pathetic. Just don't play as them if they do become playable

I'm not taking it as a teaser personally, it's likely just a regular AT confirmation. If he was making another reference to Ridley on Pyrosphere, then yeah I'd buy it as a teaser, but this is just a regular Metroid, they don't have any specific relation to Ridley himself.

So much hatred towards Mii... so much straw grasping for reasons against Mii's inclusion... SMH... I'm going to enjoy laughing at all the butthurt reactions and nervous breakdowns when they are eventually confirmed.

There are legitimate reasons for disliking the concept of Miis in Smash, make no mistake on that, that's hardly grasping at straws. The only time it becomes straw grasping is when people try to argue why they aren't likely, even the biggest of haters have to admit that there's literally nothing going against their inclusion and everything going for it.

While that Metroid of course doesn't confirm Ridley or so, I kinda feel Metroid will totally get a new character (most likely Ridley). Only Metroid has two Assists so far, maybe Sakurai wanna expand on Metroid stuff for a Ridley reveal for the Direct? And really, hinting at Ridley being in the game without showing anything at all about him, up until a Smash Direct, is just cruel. D:
Miis, I want Miis and expect them, so I have no reason to really join the Mii discussion here. ^^ Reveal Mii and Ridley tomorrow, and I am super happy.

I mean, I'll love Smash 4 without Ridley and such, but... I've wanted him since Melee. D:

Yeah. For hours, upon hours, upon hours. And so on. But then the Direct starts. In through the roof drops Reggie, wearing nothing but tight speedos, with a body as ready as it can be. Iwata apologizes for the seizures you will recieve, and asks you to please, *puts on sunglasses* understand, b!atch. *laughs*
Miyamoto then drives in on a motorcycle, a Wiimote in each hand and a GamePad for helmet. He stops his cycle, standing with the others, as Sakurai appears, with Kid Icarus angel wings and a pink Kirby shirt, and holds up a screen. A Newcomer moves on the screen, with intense hype and gold and glitter and such, and he emerges.

I'm going to have to accept the fact that Miis will be in the game. Online will be packed to the brim with Hitler and Obama Miis, and they'll look awful compared to the other characters.

I was a big supporter of Miis a long time ago, but they just wouldn't look right in Smash.

The fact that it stated it was for Super Smash Bros. 6 pretty much means it's a mistake. Furthermore, I doubt they're seeking programmers this far into development, especially when they have all of Namco Bandai to pick from.

Makes me wonder...when will be the best time to reveal Miis? I mean, we all hate them, so I guess the earlier the better to get all of the hatred out of our systems. That being said, Miis would be ok to reveal at this direct. ONLY if it is balanced by another highly popular newcomer (Mewtwo, Palutena, whoever).

First, no, not everyone hates Miis. A LOT of people loves then and wants them to be in the game. Don't talk for those people, please.
Second, you've seen Miis in Mario Kart and other games. They are NOT that super simple in apperance as they are on your Mii Menu. I doubt they would look that simple in a game like Smash.
Third, this is still not the Place to argue Miis and such. Let's go back to Direct, ok? ^^
