Toon Link and Villager (who is supposed to somewhat represent the player) are already in the game, and I've heard nothing from nobody about child abuse promotion. On the topic of what could come up in tomorrow's Direct, I really hope they talk about how the second screens on both the 3DS and Wii U will/may be used in the game. What ways do you think they could be used to enhance the gaming experience?
Yes.
But they aren't you. And this distinction is made clear
to parents
Link is the hero of the game with a feature to name him. A parent will walk in and think it's adorable or something along those lines that their child immersed themselves enough in the game to call themselves the hero.
The villager is a much closer relation. The parent would probably think though. (That's not my kid's person right?) and just by looking at them they could easily tell.
However, with the Mii's, they are likely to say "OH, THEY'RE BEATING UP MY CHILD."
This is assuming the child is losing and actually has a mii that looks like them.
People who let hatred govern their decisions are people who are destined to live very sad and pathetic lives. So really if anything I genuinely feel sorry for those who feel that if a character they hate gets in, will ruin the entire thing for them. Your inability to focus on things that make you happy, over the things you dislike, is truly one of the more tragic First World Problems.
You misinterpreted that entirely.
You said that we would accept the Mii's and my statement regarding our hatred of it was a counter to say that even if they did make it in, does not mean we would like it.
No one will drop their pre-order simply because the Mii gets in. This is more about the here and now. We are saying who we don't want and will continue to advocate that until the games release or the character is announced. We will express disappointment about it but get over it like any other thing that disappoints us.
It's like any other debate that has to come down to a big decision. Very similar to the presidency. People will vote for the one they want and hope with all their being that the other guy isn't chosen.
When that other guy is chosen they may be extremely disappointed but almost everyone will not pack their bags and leave their homes simply because the person they didn't want is now in office. They learn to tolerate it, even if they still hate it.
As for your statements on happiness...
You assume I cannot focus on the things I am happy with, but that is based off of this one conversation regarding the thing I don't want to appear in this game. We are essentially discussing the things that I don't like and you are claiming that I am not happy because of it.
There are plenty of things that make me happy but right now we are discussing Mii's and I am expressing my distaste of them.
