I don't know why but just the thought of him being in smash actually makes my stomach turn.

I don't know really what it is and I can kind of see why people want him/her/it in. But I think if they were going to do a custom char type thing it shouldn't be....that.

I've always disliked Mii's looks and I don't think I would enjoy them in smash either.

it's because Mii is a character devoid of any personality and is a boring choice. People can argue that the personality is what you put into it but yeah no it doesn't sit right with me either.

I don't agree for a second that Villager is boring, it's an avatar but in a way that gives him personality you know? I would only sort of agree with WFT but she was given the personality of health nut and it works.

Villager is the same way but the internet literally self hyped him up. Now he's a psychopath with his own personality. He also sports a pretty reasonable look.

Wii fit trainer is a trainer, but looks fun to play and doesn't look too bad other than the skin color.

The way i see it is if a character you don't like gets in, just be thankful a character you do like does. Be it a returning veteran, or someone new, as long as you have that once character that makes it worth getting in, then screw the characters you don't like.

For me it's not so much them being in the game. I'm perfectly fine with that, and know many people interested in playing them.

My issue is the possibility for them being revealed in the Direct. That is a huge waste for such an obvious character (Yes, I know, casual fanbase, yada yada. The casual fanbase won't get hyped about a developer direct 4 days in advance, so what would be the point of announcing it for them?) Mii works so much better as a hidden character. (Oh my god, reading that sentence out loud made me feel SO stupid.)

One of the extremely speculated and massive fanbase characters is a much better choice. I just want this direct to be awesome, and if they go with no newcomer, or Miis (or Pac-man...) for it, as the only announcement, I'm just going to be disappointed.

I don't think there's a single character that would make Mii's inclusion "worth it." In fact I'd strongly consider axing one of my favorites just to keep Miis out of Smash.

Villager is representative of all aspects of Animal Crossing, which is filled to the brim with personality.
Wii Fit Trainer very clearly has a perceived demeanor. Everyone unanimously agrees she's a health nut who pressures everyone to get fit. It's supposed to be comical, in that way.

Miis are just...things. Blank slates. They're not representative of anything or anyone. They're just faces attached to a completely unidentifiable body. That doesn't warrant a character, in my opinion.

Well that would be disappointing.

It's not like I wouldn't be interested, but I would think if they had a whole separate Nintendo direct for smash, there would be some character reveal(s)

Miis suck, but the sooner you come to accept that they're most likely in, the less you'll be dissapointed when they finally show up. Same goes for Pac-Man if you dislike him. I just hope there won't be too much ******** and moaning if Miis are revealed in this Direct, even if I myself don't like them and think it'd be a waste there's nothing you can do about it.

I'd honestly be completely neutral on their inclusion if they were disabled online, but I don't see them including a character they'd put such restrictions on.

I've been dying reading these last few pages, seeing people describe Miis as "...it" and "....that". Also, Falcon Punching Hitler and Jesus in the face at the same time (Plz let the Captain back in Sakurai).

Moving on, three points. One, given that Miis appeal more to a casual fanbase, wouldn't it make sense for such a reveal to happen at E3? That way it could potentially receive more attention.

Two, although there are definitely things that we've seen so far which could hint at Miis being a "guaranteed" in (Wuhu Island stage, I'm looking at you), have people considered the possibility that Miis will be in this game like Animal Crossing was in Brawl, with stage representation but no character?

Lastly, considering the similarities between Mii and Villager (as has been pointed out in previous posts), isn't it possible for Sakurai to say "Guess what? The customization I mentioned way back when refers to being able to change Villager's appearance to look like your Mii."

Think of these things what you will, I'm just trying to shine a little light on all the doom and gloom that was brought in by..... Mii.

Edit: Another possibility is that Miis could be in the game as Assist Trophies. This could be a wonderful compromise.
