Miis are... ugh

I can attest with Yonder that Miis with... interesting faces have happened to me frequently on Wifi, especially with Mario Kart Wii. My parents ended up seeing a Jesus Mii in a Wifi race and ended up taking the game away for a month (they're really religious if you're wondering).

But I agree with N3ON with their importance. Miis have been a huge part of Nintendo since their inception, so they make a lot of sense to include in a game about Nintendo's history. Their games are quite literally the modern day Mario Bros. in terms of success.

I'm very conflicted on their addition, and I think they are the posterboy for "Expect but don't want" characters.

Yeah, that happened. Some guy asked her afterwards if that meant Shulk was in, but she responded with something along the lines of "I can't just be excited for a different game?" Take this for what you will I guess.

Yeah, that's what they usually do. Last time I watched it live on Youtube I had no problems though.

Yeah, it was honestly the best thing she could've said. At the very least too, it was a response with personalitty. I like it. Look, I'm excited that Shulk might be in the game and all, but as a community we really need to stop bugging these guys, or they might stop posting excited tweets at all.

Now, on the topic of Mii's. One thing that keeps bugging me, despite expecting them, is that they're generic avatar characters, a niche which is sort of filled by the Villager, with more personality and flavor due to Animal Crossing.

What exactly can they do that he can't? Use random objects? Be less interesting? No offense to Mii supporters, but I'm honestly curious what they think could be shown off. I seem to recall the Mii thread containing movesets utilizing miscellaneous items, which the Villager does.

Maybe their unique feature is the fact that they're Miis and thus can have any face? I'm just having a disconnect here.

As far as I know, a bunch of people were asking about him, and the photo of Sakurai at the concert tweeting a picture of a Monado replica was passed around.

It happened in August, but has also increased my hype levels 1000% contrary to my attempts to stop it. Damn you, Sakurai!

As for the premium portraits, they came in about 1-2 weeks ago. They're pretty sweet.

I can't get it to work for me though, does anyone have any idea why?
