3. how much of a gap was between the release date and a dedicated direct for a game

According to someone else on this thread, there was a direct dedicated to The Wonderful 101, and that same game was released a month later.

Well didn't Mario Kart get a direct in March (or was it february?) and its being released on May.

That same month for every region other than NA. Not saying the same will happen with Smash... but expecting it in the next few months (as opposed to closer to years end) might not be so crazy.

I don't think Mario Kart had it's own Direct centered around it. It was always just part of a Nintendo Direct.

This Smash Bros. Direct will be Smash, and nothing but Smash.

I would be more then happy with a newcomer and a veteran. Though a full direct I would love to see at least see multiple veterans.


I could easily see them showing off a newcomer at the end and filling the rest with gameplay, items, and old stages.
