Phew, thank goodness! You know, I always did like the Grass type starters the best.

I always considered Mario and Sonic as joint property of Nintendo and Sega. And here's a fun fact: while Sega did develop the game and publish it in North America and Europe, Nintendo handled publishing duties in Japan. Not to mention the development team was supervised by Shigeru Miyamoto himself. So yeah, it definitely counts, especially since Nintendo and Sega are BFFs now.

Would you like a special mention in the wall of honor?

While it may very well be my only chance at the Wall of Honor, I'll pass. I only did what any Smash fan would do. Besides, the real credit goes to Nintendo, for allowing Wii games to stream on the GamePad. It is that awesome. There's even a sensor bar built into the Gamepad for full Wiimote functionality! How cool is that?

Usually I'm pretty strict... but that's usually for popular series. With Wii Fit, I was a bit more lenient overall... but you still earned that perfect score in my eyes. That training medley was the perfect way to bring in popular outside music to vary things up while keeping things "fitting." I don't know about Wii Sports... pretty much everyone had it on here, but that was one of the things I just hadn't expected. Eh...

I guess I should start to explain my reasoning.

1. Reset Bomb Forest (Kid Icarus: Uprising)
Pretty much THE song I expect to be on this stage. I would be surprised if it got excluded.
2. Thunder Cloud Temple (Kid Icarus: Uprising)
Come on. This theme is awesome! This also fits for an intense battle.
3. Boss Fight 1 (Kid Icarus: Uprising)
Speaking of intense fights, I think this one fits perfectly. Whenever I am on Pit's page on the SSB4 website, this theme is the first one to pop into my head.
4. That First Town (Kid Icarus: Uprising)
But why have all themes sound intense? How about we have a fun sounding song! It's a nice theme and it goes along with the intense yet fun nature of fighting in Super Smash Bros.
5. Magnus's Theme (Kid Icarus: Uprising)
When I saw the stage for the first time, this song popped into my head first. It's just a beautifully perfect theme. I would be disappointed if it wasn't in SSB4.
6. Overworld (Kid Icarus: Of Myths and Monsters)
With a proper remix, this could be as amazing as most of Kid Icarus: Uprising's music. It was the only one from Of Myths and Monsters that I found appealing to be perfectly honest.
7. Underworld (Kid Icarus/Super Smash Bros. Brawl)
It would be a crime if I left this song out! This song is absolutely perfect. I would be incredibly upset if this version doesn't make a comeback! But if they make a better version for this stage...
8. Overworld (Kid Icarus/Super Smash Bros. Brawl)
As I am envisioning the stage, I see both the Underworld and Overworld themes to fit in quite nicely. I had to use the Brawl themes as the KI:U versions aren't extended like these are. So, take that as counting a Brawl song or a Kid Icarus song. Also, it may seem odd that I am putting in two Overworld themes... but these themes sound different and there were two different Underground themes in Brawl's Mushroomy Kingdom.

This was actually a bit more tricky than I thought it once was.

Motoi Sakuraba composed the music for both Golden Sun and Kid Icarus: Uprising, both games are handheld titles, and in a meta/far-out reasoning, since a Golden Sun song appeared on a Metroid stage in Brawl, I think it would be cool for a Golden Sun song to appear on Kid Icarus in Sm4sh (since Metroid and Kid Icarus were "sister" games.)

Well, that's my list. I don't expect the Kid Icarus Overworld/Main Theme to make an appearance on this stage, since I think the 3DS stages will focus more on current/portable titles, so that's why I didn't include it (Although it does show up in the Uprising Opening track.) Reasons: What's an action-packed game like this without its rock music? Yet alone the track that repeats during every boss phase? Now that's gonna get stuck in your head, and we willingly let this track sink into ours'. This symphonic rock track gives a feel of intensity.

Reasons: Make it or break it, the Tabuu of this list. Now, this track may be a sore thumb for a Kid Icarus-centric soundtrack, but not all the stage playlists in Brawl catered to just one series. It is also risky considering a Sin & Punishment rep might have a slight margin to make it into the game, and with that, a stage. But it is my reasonable doubt to believe that this margin is trumped by man other series Sakurai might've chosen reps for over it, unfortunately. Anyways, this rock track is pretty funky and smooth. Other than that, Kid Icarus: Uprising has many influences with Sin & Punishment that its almost uncanny (rail shooters, control scheme, etc.) For the few minutes I spent playing Star Successor, the setting for the level I played correlated well with Reset Bomb Factory's. Ruined landscape, swarms of flying creatures incongruously flowing, legions fighting on the ground. This track meshes well.

Reasons: Ah, the game that resuscitated the Kid Icarus franchise. Hey, the Smash series and Kid Icarus are both directed by Sakurai too! This track was the first thing we heard out of this stage from the Dojo to the default setting, as well as the Subspace Emissary. This track contrasts well with the other music provided, but still fits well for a fighting game.

Immediately wanting to start off with this. As per usual, I try to keep console songs on Wii U stages and handheld songs on 3DS stages as much as possible. Of the three Kid Icarus games in the series, only two of them are handheld, being Of Myths & Monsters and Uprising. However, of the two, Of Myths & Monsters was never released in Japan and has had almost no bearing whatsoever on Kid Icarus in Brawl and Uprising, meaning that Sakurai will not consider it important to have the soundtrack represented. For this reason, I think it's completely justified that a majority of the track here comes from Uprising, since it fits the above criteria and is easily the most tempting soundtrack for Sakurai to pull from, considering it was a game he made and the most recent entry of the series. That said, variety will have to come internally within Uprising. Please do not judge variety based on how evenly the games' songs are spread apart for this reason.

• The reason for Underworld instead of Overworld is because Overworld doesn't fit as well. There, I said it.

It's as tough a heck to not add Underworld or any of the main/earlier chapter themes from Uprising considering they're the main themes to the series and are so good to listen to, but man they just don't fit this stage at all IMO. I would hope Skyworld returns from Brawl or that we get a cheerier stage in the Wii U version.

May come back and edit this later, would hope that importing the Uprising OST pays off a bit though.
