Pretty quiet. I'm wondering if this contest has lost its momentum. :(
Personally, I'm worried about @Swampasaur as he hasn't been around here recently. I hope he's doing okay.

There's also the fact that we're running out of time on the 3DS stages, plus the other judges being unavailable for judging...

Maybe it'd be best to have new judges in order to get the contest running smoothly again.
That might be a good idea if our current judges are unavailable. I'll volunteer for the position. :)

Though that may not work out. It's getting close to time to leave the boards to avoid spoilers...

Don't look at me, I was for starting the next round immediately as the last grades were posted. :p

Can't say I'm interested in judging again, but if you guys can sort things out for another round I will kindly update the thread's title for you guys.

I'd be happy to judge as long as it's not the Boxing Ring or Windy Hill. Any other stage is fair game!

I'll throw my hat in the judging ring for you guys if you need judges to spare.

I was thinking that we could do it as a super big round called "3DS Finale!!" where we tackle all the remaining stages...

But I don't wanna spend 30 years waiting on the grades only to find out that only one judge has finished! :troll:

<I like the sound of that, and then any next stage that comes up could immediately go through the game.>

Don't worry. I'm sure it wouldn't be that long. :troll: And to save time, we might limit it to 2 songs, but that would be up to the other judges.

So... If we were to take up the mantle, what stage should we do? We did a Wii U stage last time, so... 3DS?

Actually, that's a good idea: If we do a pre-launch blowout round, maybe we could split it into separate rounds between 3DS stages and Wii U stages?

Well, we'd only need to worry about 3DS stages for now... After the 3DS version launches, then all we have left are Wii U stages from then until it's release.

We've got these 3DS stages left:

3D Land
Golden Plains
Paper Mario's stage
N's Castle
Tortimer Island
Find Mii
Tomodachi Stage
Balloon Fight
Game Boy
Pac-Maze

Take your pick. We need to hurry if we want to get as many as we can in before Smash 3DS comes out.

Somebody has to. :p But we may need to double check before we actually try it.

Actually, we've done 3D Land already. Back in Round 3.

To make things easier, here are the 3DS rounds we've done so far...

Round 1: Battlefield (both versions)

Round 3: 3D Land

Round 5: Reset Bomb Forest

Round 7: Spirit Train

Round 9: Arena Ferox

Round 11: Living Room

Round 13: Prism Tower

Round 15: Rainbow Road

Round 16: Wily's Castle (unknowingly both versions :p )

We also need to do Gerudo Valley, Jungle Japes, and Green Hill Zone. (The last two being Past Stages should be slightly easier.) And we won't worry about Final Destination and Boxing Ring right now. We'll save those for the end if we have time.

I say next round, regardless of which stage, we should throw in Jungle Japes and Green Hill Zone as well.

I think Tortimer Island would be fun. I doubt anyone would try the Tomodachi stage, though. :p

I'd try Tomodachi, but I'm known for doing more out of place soundtracks. Hold on, that might actually help me in this case. :p

I'll judge any round as long as it isn't the Boxing Ring. I've been wanting to do that stage for a long time, so I'll have to bow out of judging for that round. But, I should be good to go for any other round.

Boxing Ring and Windy Hill are the stages I really want to enter in. But I'll glady judge any other.

Without further ado, ladies and gents...

IT'S 3DS CRUNCHTIME!!!

Round Seventeen: Tortimer Island
Universe: Animal Crossing
Game of Origin: Animal Crossing: New Leaf (2013, 3DS)

Are you ready to set sail for the paradise of random layout? The following song is already confirmed...

Island/Daytime Minigame Medley
Link: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JPUsmYp0mC4

This track is a medley of...

Island (Day)
Game of Origin: Animal Crossing: New Leaf (2013, 3DS)
Link: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7a5LXIaoSoo

Daytime Minigame
Game of Origin: Animal Crossing: New Leaf (2013, 3DS)
Link: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SBYi3WAGOGc

There's another song that could be associated with this stage, but not confirmed.

Kappn's Song
Game of Origin: Animal Crossing: New Leaf (2013, 3DS)
Link: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZUpYGZ0Mgv8
This was heard in the Super Smash Bros. Direct: http://youtu.be/7xUWnQu2Grs?t=27m52s

But wait, there's more!
Second Stage: JUNGLE JAPES (MELEE)
Universe: Donkey Kong
Game of Origin: Donkey Kong Country (1994, SNES) / Super Smash Bros. Melee (2001, GCN)

That's right! We're doing TWO stages this round. Luckily, it's a past stage this time. No tracks confirmed yet, but these are the tracks that have been on the stage previously...

Jungle Japes
Game of Origin: Donkey Kong Country (1994, SNES) / Super Smash Bros. Melee (2001, GCN)
Link: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JIBlo8GdHa0

Kongo Jungle
Game of Origin: Donkey Kong 64 (1999, N64) / Super Smash Bros. Melee (2001, GCN)
Link: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oU4vh4LX2Gk

That still leaves six more spots to fill in. And DKC games have great music, so I'm sure you can find more fitting tracks. Also, for the last part of this round, we got an important question we need to answer...

Should We Do Green Hill Zone?

This stage got recently confirmed for the 3DS version, so it would seem like a good stage to tackle. However, this particular stage has TWELVE songs already attached to it from Brawl. Per the rules that we established last round (ten songs for a third party stage), that means two would need to be trimmed at minimum. That's not accounting for cutting any additional songs to put new ones in. And even then, a lot of the lists will no doubt be very similar to each other. So, we'll put it to a vote. Choose either...

A. Yes, let's do Green Hill Zone as one of the stages next round.
B. Nah, we'll just leave it like it is.

For those who need a refresher on the tracklist, go here:

----------------

This round, your judges shall be:

Jumpman84 (that's me)
Ascended
BillyTheKidd
TechPowah

Now get out there and show us what you're made of! No regrets...

Don't look at me, I was for starting the next round immediately as the last grades were posted. :p

Can't say I'm interested in judging again, but if you guys can sort things out for another round I will kindly update the thread's title for you guys.
If you would be so kind as to update the title....

Two stages? Guys, I get the feeling you'll have a hard time finishing those grades on time. Definitely consider not doing GHZ, at least. If you're all confident you can do it, then by all means, do it. But it'd be very easy to get worn out and lose track of schedule at such a rate.

I'll have you guys know that we will be <potentially> pretty efficient with grading times this round. In fact, i've already finished grading everyone who posted for this round so far already. :p

Well, this is just the first run. If any complications arise, then we can cut down on the stage amount. We were just trying to find a method that we could use to finish up the remaining 3DS stages left.

Alright. Though I'm not sure why you're doing Past Stages.
Why not do past stages? They deserve to be loved and admired, too.

Besides, if Temple could get new music for Brawl (even as just a different arrangement of the old music), then that sets a precedent for any Smash 4 Past Stage getting new music.

Just seems like something that you guys would do after all the new stages have been finished, especially since the music is more than likely going to the same songs from Brawl/Melee. Not saying you guys shouldn't, but given the complaints about judging/not finishing on time, I'm just surprised it's been made a priority.
