EDIT: Charts Updated 1/15/14
- What about Skull Kid and Midna for the Zelda series ?Legend of Zelda Series
Fire Emblem Series
Pre-Smash 64 Series
Pre-Melee Series
Pre-Brawl Series
Pre-Smash Wii U/3DS
Some one will (hopefully) correct me if I'm wrong, but I believe Foreman Spike is from Wrecking Crew and Fighter Hayabusa is from ProWrestling.(Where F. Spike and F. Hayabusa come from ?).
Vaati is not considered a very plausible potential character.Where's Vaati?
WE GON GO BACK IN TIEMAnd thus, the biggest actually plausible roster in existence was created by AEM on this fateful day, January 1st, 2014.
Otherwise known as the roster for SSB19.

No comment.Vaati is not considered a very plausible potential character.
Honestly, I don't see him as very plausible either. I doubt we'll get a Legend of Zelda newcomer in general, really. No comment.

Because unlike Vaati, Toon Sheik had leftover data in Brawl, despite not technically existing. Not nearly as likely as anyone else on the chart, but Vaati has no such reason. Honestly, I think Vaati's time to shine would have been Brawl. Why in the world is Toon Shiek, a made up character, before Vaati, a unique and recurring character?

Not sure why you're bringing that last part up, honestly. Getting a new game doesn't automatically make a character likely, especially if they're not the main focus of said game.Four Swords Anniversary Edition.
And if remakes, don't count, then why is Gerudo Valley on the 3DS version instead of the Wii U version?
He's the main villain. Since when has that been unimportant? Not sure why you're bringing that last part up, honestly. Getting a new game doesn't automatically make a character likely, especially if they're not the main focus of said game.
It hasn't really been important, either. Ganon(dorf) is still the most major villain of the series. I think LoZ has all it needs with its Brawl roster. There are definitely going to be less newcomers this time, so why choose one that fills a secondary villain role, when there are other more popular/iconic/unique choices for newcomers? I just doubt a Zelda newcomer is at all a priority, and if it were, I'd think Tetra or Tingle would be much more likely. He's the main villain. Since when has that been unimportant?

Being part of the "Big Three" does not matter at all. It doesn't make it more likely to get a newcomer.Zelda is one of the Big Three. It does need a newcomer.
And Vaati is relevant, unique, and important.
Being one of the Big Three means it's one of Nintendo's most important franchises, which means it's likely to get lots of representation in Smash.Being part of the "Big Three" does not matter at all. It doesn't make it more likely to get a newcomer.
And you know who else is relevant, unique and important? Tetra. Tingle, too.
Tingle got his own spin-off series. Of course he's important.Being one of the Big Three means it's one of Nintendo's most important franchises, which means it's likely to get lots of representation in Smash.
Tingle isn't that important and Tetra, I don't really have any arguments against.
I'm not AEM, but since it's my thread, I'll answer.Great choices and work overall.
Some questions now @Ariand/AEM :
- What about Skull Kid and Midna for the Zelda series ?
The former is confirmed as an Assist, and the latter, despite being a one-shot, has still some cameos throughout Nintendo games like Animal Crossing and still can be good Assist material.
- EDIT : I would also suggest Micaiah, one of the few magic users within the cast of the Fire Emblem main characters, and also Tiki and the Black Knight, as they are (sort of) recurrent characters and have connections with their respectives Arcs' stories and legends.
They could be great Assists, if not playables.
- I also think it would be good to give a list of the names of the unrepped series (Where F. Spike and F. Hayabusa come from ?).
Okay, I understand more now. Thank you for clearing things up.I'm not AEM, but since it's my thread, I'll answer.
-Your first part about Skull Kid answers why he's not going to be added to the chart.
He wasn't on the chart when he was revealed as an Assist, and characters that were revealed to be Assists that were not on the chart prior to that will not be added to the chart. Only playable characters that weren't on the chart prior to the reveal (such as Wii Fit Trainer).
-Like how discussing Vaati is pointless due to the Zelda chart being voted upon months prior, discussing Midna is also pointless for the very same reason. She was voted off.
-Same deal with Micaiah. Tiki and Black Knight were never on the chart to begin with, but they were not voted on it.
-The chart is NOT for potential Assists; it's specifically for potential playables. If it were for potential Assists as well, the charts would be twice as big.
-The suggestion for the unrepped series names is too big of a hassle to be frank. I'll see what I can do, though.
That's painful...Okay so I guess I'm going to have to reupload this stuff elsewhere, again.
Thanks budd. Saved it to my desktop in case stuff goes kaputz. Also God Robert's Cousin, you can find your gigantic list thingy here.
