I was talking about Portuguese Sausage

I don't know if it's an actual thing in Portugal

But they serve it here, at least in Musubi
We do have something similar to sausages which is what we call "enchidos". There are many recipes and variants, but putting it crudely, they're basically smoked sausages. One of my favorite foods, because they're freaking tasty.

So, I did search what you meant by Portuguese Sausage. It's what we call "linguiça" and is one of the many enchidos I mentioned above.

Football ruined my childhood.
Football is overrated. :troll:

I guess you could call me patriot since I like my country, but when patriotism becomes something like "my country is superior to others", I'd much prefer to call it stupidity.

Sometimes I wonder if the world would be a better place if there weren't any countries (meaning, no arbitrary borders separating people). On the other hand, that would be difficult considering differing cultural values.

Also, on the whole 'Murica thing... Am I the only one that thinks it only serves to give an extremely arrogant image of the United States? Sometimes, I know it's parody, but I get the feeling that there's a significant number of Americans think they're superior to everyone else somehow.

You're thought is probably right and wrong as alot of the East and most of the West are very charitable people.
However our charity is undoubtedly drowned out by certain people. *cough* California *cough*.
But America only really takes itself seriously when we're attacked or at war.
It's refreshing when you see patriotism used as a parody it's just American culture no one but Americans will truly understand.
If we truly cared what other countries thought of our culture we would have changed it a long time ago.

Well, you have a point. I'm not American, so I don't understand your culture entirely.

Then again, most people here in Europe aren't really into all this patriotism stuff. (It might have to do with what happened on the last century with World War II and all that...)

Parody or not, I think the USA are the only ones who self-portray them as badasses and all that, if those images are any indication. You don't really see that kind of stuff elsewhere.

I'll go ahead and get this off my chest.
The reason the USA has the image it has is because the media doesn't care that our school raised half a million dollars to build houses in Africa they care more that Miley Cyrus is wearing a dress that leaves very little to the imagination.
They don't care that our church group went over and offered help in Japan after the Tsunami they're much to busy worrying about Snookie and Jay Wow.
Sure we have some fun in America. We know our stereotypes and we accept them instead of cursing whomever uses them. We have fun with whatever we do. We're very optimistic people. We have fun with our forefathers exaggerating their heroicness. Why? Because it's fun.
Well with that it's like 5 AM so I wish y'all goodnight.

From what I understand and occasionally read, America has been a very charitable country for a while now

That's not exactly the same thing. (At least, I don't think so.)

That's the media pretty much everywhere. lol

The concept of fun is subjective, indeed...

And good night. (It feels odd saying this now, because it's morning here...)

Do you dislike your country?

So how cramped is it over there now...
Y'know with it being the second most populated country?
Lol. Well, the population per square mile is quite large, it's nothing too bad. It's about the same as Japan. (Other that the fact that I live in one of less densely populated areas.)

omg omg omg, tell me all about India please.

Is your political/media landscape shaped towards western or eastern spheres of influence?
What are the high schools/universities like? Are you religious? Hindu? Do you have any unusual animals living within your city bounds?
