I have Christian and Buddhist beliefs, but I would call them more philosophical views than religious.

Also, this isn't a shot at anyone, but I really don't like the phrase "Hate the sin, not the sinner".


Anyway, I know this was a few pages back, but I wanted put my favorite pokes from each region:

1st Gen: Kabutops
2nd Gen: Houndoom/Politoed
3rd Gen: Absol
4th Gen: Croagunk
5th Gen: Druddigon/Joltik
6th Gen: Froakie and it's evolutions

Also Cover Mascots:
1st Gen: Blastoise
2nd Gen: Suicune
3rd Gen: Rayquaza
4th Gen: Giratina
5th Gen: Black Kyurem
6th Gen: Yveltal (Probably will stay since Yveltal is my favorite Legendary Pokemon)

I really agree that FD only would have its issues and that people want some variety for sure, I'm just wondering a little bit if by stopping the corrupted bureaucracy of picking legal stages and just sticking to the one if the meta would develop faster and less arguments would ensue.

Oh trust me, that wouldn't stop anything.
We'd still find something to complain about. Whether it's "Why aren't any other stages picked?" or banned certain Final Destinations for one reason or another.
Sure, it kill some complaints. But in return we'd get new ones to replace the old ones.

I just shudder over and over again when I look back at what we did with stages... Blegh... There's too much personal bias and such things to trust that a good list will develop on its own and I wonder if maybe just having a forced agreement from the get go would be easier.

I'm assuming you're talking about Brawl here.
And to be fair, a fighting game is only as good as it's characters. If they're unbalanced, so will the metagame. Brawl taught us that.
So first, we have to see just how stable the characters are. Then go from there.
Thankfully, Sakurai seems to be focusing more on balance this time around. So there is hope.

The online modes in Smash 4 are really disappointing me. Its certainly better than the mess they called Brawl's online, but I hate that I'm forced to choose between 2 extremes and neither of which I like the sound of. I wish there was a mode where it was stock, no items and we could pick whichever stage we want.

This is unrelated to the current topic, but does anyone here recommend Kirby Triple Deluxe? I want it, but none of the stores near me have it. I'd download it, but I kinda want to save space on my card. I've watched some gameplay videos and that Masked Dedede theme is awesome. I hope some form of that mix ends up in Smash. I would think so.

As far as online goes, Brawl's sucked so bad I'm just happy we're getting something a little better. I wish the against random people part had more options. I want to be able to sit on the couch with my best bro and take on the world as a team!

It turns out that J-Stars Victory VS can be modded after all. This guy made every support playable by modding someone's moveset to their model. Which explains why the hell a volleyball player like Hinata is attacking Hiei with fingerbeams.

It nerfed spear and lacks Yo-yo and playable Bandana Dee. negative a million/10.

I'd like it.
It's not like Goku takes anything away from the game or anything, and as someone who was into DBZ as a kid, the references and moveset would probably have me giggling like a little girl in seconds. (like most of smash bros does)

Triple Deluxe is great, it's like a portable return to dreamland, so there's really nothing wrong there.

It's a fair point, there will always be complaints. I'm thinking of trying to write out all the positives and negatives and maybe posting something, but I dunno if it's worth it to drudge up such discussion. Though now that I think about it, FD and competition will be a big thing in the minds of many people finding us now. Back in the days of PSASBR everyone always said fights that were serious business were done on PS2 so everyone just started fighting there no matter what since random internet fights and dignity were at stake. Wouldn't it be crazy if there was a huge change in how new players came into the game? Instead of wanting lots stages like the past wanting less? I always thought it was crazy in PSASBR but seeing it here in Smash it's maybe possible... huh.

Not just Brawl, but stages in general. If you aren't a top player or run a huge tournament your opinion matters very little in such things which is rather annoying and unfair. Though being a dictator and saying FD only isn't much better either. If only democracy could work here somehow, but that was proven to not work as well in the past. There's no good option but to argue is there?

Triple Deluxe has become one of my favorite 3DS games, it's really amazing. I've finished just about everything in it, I just need all the keychains for 100%.


Speaking of which, there's got to be an easier way to get the keychains than just relentlessly playing through a level and hoping you get a new one. Help me.
