Because people hardly ever spoke about leaks. They argued about characters and made life hard for mods. It was a long time coming, really. It was full of fake leaks from GameFAQS and 4chan, which were discussed briefly in between arguments and immaturity.
Off-topicness took priority over actually discussing leaks.
It's still there. Just no longer stickied and locked. Also, what others said. It was a problem, and people refused to behave. I only posted twice, and I kept it on-topic, where there were more than one page with off-topic nonsense and multiple Warning's given. The Mods shouldn't have to police it that badly.
There was a lot of immaturity on that thread, I'm not giving names because that would get me into trouble.
Yeah, that's the thing about leaks, all fake, except maybe Palutena. The thing about all those leaks is that none of them had Krystal. Them guys don't ever learn
The thread isn't gone. It's just unsticked and locked. I haven't seen any reason to delete it, since it still has good information. Lock it to prevent problems, of course! But yeah, go to the subforum and look down further. You'll see the topic.

They outright said that to make a new thread for a leak after talking to them, so it should be easier to handle. My only hope is that it doesn't get out of hand or more Mods are needed than they already have.
Pretty much. Unfortunately, with any forum, we have problems with those who can't be civil. And there's such a giant amount of people, and leaks themselves are hot debates as is. So put 2 and 2 together, and well...

I think that Brawl just had some serious (and obvious) short comings, and both Sakurai and the Project M team tackled them in their own ways.
Prehaps I'm misreading the jokes in general but my prespective on the Greninja/Mewtwo situation was more of a result of many people reaction to the situation then the possiblitiy of Mewtwo being completely out of the realm of possibility.

Wii Fit Trainer was too easy to see. Keep in mind in the games, there's a male and female variant, but they're the same character besides that. It's not like you even directly play as them either in Wii Fit. You play as Mii's.

It is that. Many thought he was in the reveal trailer, not Greninja.
A lot of people legitimately think Mewtwo's chances are shot now thanks to the inclusion of Greninja and Lucario, which makes 0 sense to me.
Yeah, but without Transformers, more Pokemon reps than Mario makes no sense either.
That same thing happened when Lucario was revealed to though I think the reaction to Lucario was a bit harsher then it was for Greninja as Lucario is often viewed as Mewtwo's 'replacement' after it was determined that Mewtwo was not in brawl.
And the thing is? Until we found Mewtwo was planned, that was a very legitimate stance to take. But once we find out the data, it was false. After Young Link was turned into Toon Link, I could understand that reaction. If you didn't know about the Forbidden 7. But all you have to do is simply look that up and find out "Okay, I was wrong." Also, notably, Mewtwo had little relevance during Brawl's development. He had no notable appearances at all beyond of course being in FireRed/LeafGreen. And small Events here and there. He wasn't in the Anime at all, no movies, no major promotions. He had nothing on Lucario. Now he's back with a vengeance. Or she, if her new movie version means anything. Dang voice actors.
I first thought it was Shadow Ball. But I am quite pleased that Smash 4 isn't overrun by 1st Gen Pokemon again, having at least 2 from other Gens, so it was just plain awesome.
I think a lot of people say that because of the fact that Jiggly still hasn't been announced yet, but will most likely be in. I'm pretty sure the Original 12 have a 100% chance of being in the next smash, seeing how they have been for the last two. That's why Mewtwo chances slim, seeing as adding both him and Jiggly would be too much.

For the record, I preferred transformations, but from a gameplay standpoint, they kind of sucked in practice.
