The screaming of the Mewtwo doom mostly. As far as the attack, I wasn't really paying attention much to the attack itself as it was more 'why is that Pokemon hanging upside down' which was probably the reason my mind didn't immediately go to Mewtwo.

I only noticed the projectile creation.

That said, it was hard to tell. Also, we have multiple ninjas(Sheik, Greninja. Zero Suit Samus feels somewhat like one but with a gun), but still no Samurai. Goroh got disconfirmed(well, unless Sakurai makes him a last minute addition, but I doubt it), but at least there's Takamaru.

This whole "no Mewtwo because of Greninja"-thing is silly. People were expecting Brawl + Mewtwo to be in this game, which is 7 characters, and now if we get Jiggz and Mewtwo in addition to the ones we already have, it'll be 6 characters (assuming Squirtle and Ivysaur are cut which I think will be the case). One less than what everyone predicted! I think it's the people who think "slots" rather than characters that might find this too much, but it's rather silly... ZSS and Sheik got their own slots now, but there's hardly any complaining about that, but god forbid if Pokémon gets an extra one.

But I feel like many have realized that Mewtwo still has a chance and the complaining isn't that bad anymore. The jokes seem to be more of just that: just jokes, instead of people actually thinking Greninja is in "instead" of Mewtwo, or "replacing" him. I haven't seen any genuine complaining about it for a while now, but funny how this still keeps coming up. Maybe it happens on sites I don't go to then.

That's ridiculous! Mewtwo and Lucario aren't even close to being clones, but yes, I agree that Mewtwo's highly unlikely

I'm personally glad that thread is gone... 99% of stuff posted in there was either blatantly false rumors or off topic nonsense.

And don't even get me started on some of the posters that were hell bent on bringing up the same arguments that were continuously getting shot down. -.-

While it will now be more irritating to find random (albeit obviously fake) leaks that pop up, the thread really did turn into a cesspool. Before the Palutena screenshot, it served its purpose pretty well (barring the occasional ****storm of cringeworthy attempts at humor, eg. "MY DAD IS SAKURAI'S CAT AND HE SAYS VIRTUAL BOY IS IN THE GAME LOLOLOL SO FUNNY GUYS!" and the like).

However, after the Palutena screenshot surfaced, it was swarmed with a ton of what I assume are younger posters who treated it as a second general discussion thread. Of course, despite being reminded endlessly to keep the discussion on topic, they never really learned. So it really did have to be dragged out behind the chemical shed and executed.

I do think we should try to find a way to have some place where we can stay up to date on new rumors. Maybe something less official (and not stickied)? Although I suppose it doesn't really matter since everything but the Salromano leak is 100% fake and anything that comes out that isn't from Sal's source will also be fake.

I think the leaks thread became a default "Smash news" thread for a lot of posters, and people would go in there first to see if anyone new was out there. It got ridiculous with all the non-leak related posts, though. The hostility is what made me not want to post there....

I am not on the same page as everyone with this diehard anime/japanophile RPG stuff. I dream of a day when Shulk and Lloyd have passed into the same obscurity as R.O.B. would have had. I understand that a fandom is usually the biggest inspiration for someone, but not enough willing to look past that. Also, I hate Miis. Ain't nobody puttin' up with your Mary Sue bull****.

I don't have much else to say about the rest of the cast. If they're factoring in predictions, I think they're grossly underestimating the number of Pokemon that would end up in the game. There were 8 planned for Brawl.

Because people hardly ever spoke about leaks. They argued about characters and made life hard for mods. It was a long time coming, really. It was full of fake leaks from GameFAQS and 4chan, which were discussed briefly in between arguments and immaturity.

I just 100% finished Sonic Lost World on Wii U (Unlocked Super Sonic and everything) so I guess I'll flop between trying to 100% 3D World, trying to 100% DKC Tropical Freeze, and trying to be at Superstar Saga via Wii U Virtual Console for the first time. Never played it before so I'm anxious to see what the hubbup is all about.

I'm gonna be honest as well. It was a fairly decent thread til after the Palutena leak thing, which is still not debunked, had been around for a few weeks. I mean at the beginning of its surface, it surprised us really good, but as time went by after that, things just turned for the worst. I even noticed a lot more warnings to stay on topic were given the past few days, but it was only a matter of time til the inevitable happened. Tbh, I'm not gonna miss that thread.
All I can say now is that I'm not gonna believe any rumors or so-called leak (with the exception of the Goddess of Light one), and just wait for judgment day around 2-3 months from now. As Sakurai said, the 3ds and Wii U versions will have the same characters, so I say we can just wait til the game comes out for the 3DS, and go on an unlocking spree. Besides, it's nice to have some surprises. That's also what made Smash amazing to me: The unlockables, but that's another story.

If i made it Pac-Man would be there.

I would never add Krystal because i doubt we'll ever get a forth StAAHH FAX rep and i doubt we'll get a second Sonic rep. (Snake is more likely to return then Shadow being playable)
