The American Justice system is really ****ed up

Edit: Warning, there is probably harsh language or something. What can you expect though from THIS kind of story

WTF?

This is ****ed up. Reminds me of a case I was told about where someone broke into a couples garage when they were on holidays but couldn't get out and was trapped in there for some time. When he got out he sued the couple, won and IIRC wasn't charged with anything..

Yes you are sir i saw the degree hanging from the wall anyways so its five then since zelda has 4.... crap
That's my Kawaiitology degree.

And series caps are non-existent to a certain degree. Pokemon had 6 characters in Brawl (one slot for Pokemon Trainer, but dang it, his Pokemon have different moves and playstyles).

Chrono Cross... ehhh... I don't think it's terrible but it definitely isn't up to snuff with Trigger.
Chrono Cross is such an intentionally dramatic departure from Chrono Trigger that I don't think people are usually justified in comparing them. As opposed to a series like Kingdom Hearts, Chrono Cross grew up with its audience. It has a lot of mature themes like Chrono Trigger; the difference is that it's more bold, gritty, and realistic in how it handles those themes. It's still an indirect sequel to Chrono Trigger, though, so it falls into an awkward area of how to critique it.

It's one of my all-time favorite games but it's not without its flaws, though. The developers didn't want to stop anywhere near the 40 (unnecessary) playable characters that exist, causing the game to run over budget, and as a result the planned game length was gutted and made the final acts a bit of a text-dump. But for what it's worth, it's probably the most ambitious story ever attempted to be told through a gaming medium outside of Metal Gear Solid 1 & 4. I think the most valid criticism of the game is where people can't enjoy the game because of its complexity and the way that the (possibly unwelcomed) changes in story direction scaled-down the adventure and removed a lot of the things that people enjoyed in Chrono Trigger.

The Akira Toriyama artwork is what really drew me into Trigger. Cross ditched it in favor of a darker grittier artstyle that I personally find to be rather boring. I think it kinda loses some of the creativity by losing some of the more quirkier aspects of not only Toriyama's character design, but also Trigger's more lighthearted story. Between the story changes and artstyle changes, Cross to me felt like so much of a departure that it may as well have been another game entirely. That's what annoyed me the most.

And yeah, I have to agree, 40 characters, only a small handful of which actually actively participate in the story, all 40 of which have to be leveled up individually, is a huge annoyance for me. In RPGs that aren't of the monster collecting variety, a small focused group is best, especially when story is at it's focus.

To give it some praise though, much like Trigger, it DID have an AMAZING soundtrack. I still find that battle theme popping up in my head from time to time. Considering that I haven't played it since PS1 days and it's been a fairly long time, that is a REALLY good soundtrack if it still keeps popping into my head unprovoked.

Trigger warning! Stop using pronouns like "he" or "she" on Yoshi. It oppresses people with indeterminate genders! Check your privilege! Die cis scum! :troll:
