So, does anyone know a good way to get rid of unwarranted hate towards a fictional character?

I'm trying to turn negative energy into positive thoughts towards a certain Koopa. I'm not really making any progress.

Be Chuggaaconroy and LP the game he stars in, and give said character heavy praise. Works every time.

ok, I'm starting to see comments like "Paper Mario would be better than jr / dr" when the "would" is used as saying that Paper Mario is deconfirmed which is far from the truth so it's free bashing against another character and I really don't like that because it makes my thread and jr thread a bad impression.

With how difficult support is for me, it's getting worse with this.

So, I'm annoyed to deal with this because it's bad to do those comments.

If you have no social life you really need to find the time for one. Don't completely give up on studies just to be with friends. Just effectively use your time when with friends and get the most out of it. My studies have me busting my ass all the time so probably half of my social life is just going on Smashboards after I've finished work or during breaks.

Most of the people I know who are very successful and got to fulfill their dreams dated in highschool. The two aren't at all mutually exclusive. The two aren't even hard to juggle, even if you have trouble with or are really invested in school. And I mean, if you really don't want to date you don't have to, but it helps a LOT later on if you get experience when you're younger.

And not to get dark, but most people I know who had that sort of "school to the exclusion of other things" attitude got hit with major depression somewhere mid college, deeply regretted their life decisions, and found that their attitude really didn't help them in the long run. Not to say there aren't people who are satisfied with burying themselves in their studies/work for the first half of their life, but more often that ends up biting people in the ***.

This has been another installment of random real talk with random guy on the internet.

Haha well, people and media generally give relationships a lot of importance, but it really isn't everything, I mean, I've never been in a relationship and I still don't want to be in one, now, or ever really. Friendships are more than enough for me.

No. In fact, the only similarity I have to Homura is my devotion to a (sometimes unachievable) goal that will benefit me, and only really me. I do find her struggles surprisingly relatable though, which is part of the reason I like her so much.

Well heres your first problem. You keep relating him to Scrappy doo.

The thing about Scrappy doo is that he talks incredibly big for being pathetic, is all around annoying, and had no usefulness what so ever.

Bowser Jr, while talking big, is actually able to back up his claims. The only reason he fails is because Mario just too good. Bowser Jr, while having the use of a machine, actually COULD kill Mario. He also does have useful for Bowser. He actually has fought along side him in a couple of games like Super Mario Galaxy, NSMB, and NSMBU.

As for being annoying/snot nosed brat. Well, he is a brat yes, but a brat that is a threat.
While I can't speak for most people, some of my favorite characters are actually the evil little characters.

I don't usually like talking about it, but let's talk about My little pony. There is a character called Diamond Tiara. She is essentially school bully, but there is more to her then just calling names. She is actually pretty smart. She knows weak points and how she can get her way. She is a brat, but a pretty good one at that.

Back to Bowser Jr. Bowser Jr is a brat that I essentially love to hate. Which is why he is my favorite Mario character. He says things that make sense being the son of Bowser. He is a spoiled brat, and he uses the idea of being spoiled, runs with it, and uses it to get all these machines and creatures to fight Mario with them.

Lastly, a question. You keep referring to him as a snot nosed brat. In theory, that implies he usually says stuff that annoys you.

If you could, could you look through the games you played with him and find lines of him that annoy you? That could actually help both of us.

I might be misunderstanding you here, but are you referring to the character, or me? If you see Homura as a creepy stalker, that's fine, but that's not what I see. Well I mean if you don't feel like dating that's fine, but if you feel like you shouldn't or can't date because of school that's a problem. But although not dating is understandable, you should really have some sort of social life. Not only does having no social life suck, but if you want to get places in life, you're going to want to maximize your social skills so you can make connections. Connections are vastly more important than grades in most instances.

Also, you're probably worrying about school too much. I took honors all through high school, and by Junior year I was taking essentially nothing but AP or college classes. People hyped it up a lot and I got so stressed that I literally had constant vomit inducing nausea and mingranes from stress. But once classes actually started and I got into the swing of things and stopped stressing about it, I breezed through high school with straight A's, managed to have quite an active social life, and plenty of time besides. I knew people who dated, had a social life, played a sport, worked a job, and had almost all AP/IB classes and still did really well. It wasn't easy for them, but they pulled it off, and they were very satisfied with the results. One of the most important things if you want to good in school is not to stress about it. I've seen people freaking about school all the time, then they decide to just chill out for whatever reason and their grades jump up several letters. Getting nervous is going to happen, but full on hardcore stressing about academics DESTROYS your academic abilities.

Sure he actually poses a threat, but it is a point that he only does so with the aid of some device. Give a kid a gun and he can kill someone easily, so to say. I guess it's just my general dislike of spoiled people and brats...

I've only actually encountered him in Sunshine, never played any of those other games. I'm not even sure if there's anything in particular that caused me to dislike him, it's been a while since I've played it. Could have been the terrible voice acting...

Doc's running speed is slightly slower, but his falling speed is slightly faster
Doc is slightly heavier then Mario.
Doc has overall better power.
Doc's forward smash has the sweetspot closer to his torso.
Doc's down tilt knocks the opponent backwards.
Doc's up tilt knocks the opponent at varies angles depending on where it's hit.
Doc's forward aerial is a powerful finisher instead of a meteor smash.
Doc's neutral aerial oddly has the property of being stronger the long it lasts.
Megavitamins produce more damage and hitstun, with a stronger arced trajectory.
Super Sheet is slower and provides less vertical distance, but has better range.
Dr. Tornado provides less air time and sends opponents in random angles.

That's all the differences if I recall.

oh, then sorry for misunderstanding (tough, that's the kind of character that until you see in a trailer, you could be sceptical like I was with the mii).

And as for what he has to do with jr, that's the exact problem: nothing.

But people assumes [deconfirmed] because jr is [almost confirmed] which creates what I said earlier: wrong bash.

You're probably right.

I don't feel like I shouldn't or can't date because of school, but I do feel like I shouldn't ask anyone in my school because of how awkward it would be. I mean, how are you supposed to respond if the kid that says nothing randomly walks up to you and asks you out? It's creepy. I don't have any intentions of dating though. I do, however, have plans of laughing at everyone who blows all their money on prom. I guess most of the reason why I don't have a social life is that I just don't know how to approach people. In the past where certain incidents have occurred that I would never like to repeat I always seem to come off as annoying. And when people talk to me, it just feels weird. How do I respond to keep the conversation going? Better to not do anything than be picked on if you ask me.

As for school, there is no doubt I'm worrying far too much about it. I get the feeling it'll be far less stressful when school actually starts. Last week was just all the useless forms and classroom expectations and crud.
