That would be OK with me to be honest. I would like if you could choose which baby to use (between Mario, Luigi, DK, Peach and maybe Bowser?) and the Up-B changed based on that. I don't know, like if you choose Baby Peach you're gonna have the umbrella, or if you choose DK you'd use a vine similar to Ivysaur's Up-B, and so on. Would be a very interesting new feature, and Sm4sh is already full of them.

That's great for Mario Kart. The Babies are one character(chooseable) and get a Yoshi-like Kart.

I don't know, I thought Yoshi was all right the way he was. Some modifications to his existing abilities is what really needs. Don't really see the point in adding the whole baby element to it I guess.

IMO all he needs are buffs. He's a decent character the way he is.
If people want Baby Mario, just make him a separate entity.

Maybe there could be a 1/50 chance that instead of throwing an egg during Side B, he throws Baby Mario for a OHKO if it connects.

Yoshi's coming guys, in two Fridays. Or maybe Sakurai is going to reveal him earlier than it's game's release like he did with Sonic, but I think that was an exception due to the Direct. Also, I'm expecting a Yoshi-centered Direct in two weeks which would be the perfect moment to reveal him playable (and maybe buffed/reworked?) in Sm4sh.

It's probably not gonna be a newcomer revealed. (Unless he does infact reveal one just to throw off our predictions, it's a possibility)

I personally believe adding the babies to Yoshi, something that doesn't need that extreme of an overhaul, isn't very needed. I mean, Sakurai wants to focus less on adding new things for the sake of adding them and instead polish and refine what already exists.

By the way, we're not getting a newcomer this month, no questions about it. The pattern has already been found and Sakurai isn't going to go as far as to force an international direct for it to trip us up. He's not that powerful, and Nintendo executives would be pissed off at him likely for doing something that ridiculous for trying to change our expectations. They have a nice system set in and there's no need for Nintendo to alter it. In fact, they'd likely benefit from it because we're guaranteed the news, meaning hype and interest about the game is assured.

Actually, it wouldn't be that far off.
KI:U was released globally in March if I'm correct. Consider it a 2 year anniversary...

I dunno, I've never had problems with screenlookers. Especially in a game like Mario Kart. I prefer having it like this, to be honest. Though the option should be there.

I'm more wondering why the screen is split vertically and not horizontally. Vertical split screens were never something I really liked.

I just find it suspicious that we have five Mario characters confirmed so early... that I am questioning whether we might have a sixth Mario character... possibly a 2nd Mario newcomer who is unlockable...

I felt it was likely enough that we would get a new Mario character but not 100% sure. Like 70:30 sure we would get a new one.

Now that we have the new one I doubt there will be a second one. Like 10:90 sure that we won't get a 2nd Mario newcomer.

Unlocks will be done in one of 2 ways. Either there won't be any, my personal hope, or Sakurai is just revealing unloackable because of how the internet works.

I thought we were just announcing series newcomers in order. First reveal all returning veterans than the newcomer comes in a trailer and they move on. This is also why i don't expect a pokemon/zelda/fire emblem newcomer being announced soon due to not all veterans for the franchise being revealed.

(and also Rosalina's cgi trailer had all announced mario veterans in it, so if they made the cgi trailer beforehand those characters would've needed to be announced.)

Well.... if there are cuts... newcomers would be shown before veterans (who are cut)...
