No. Be excited for whatever you want. There are plenty of games I'm excited for, it's just that Smash Bros. is coming out the soonest of all of them.
Actually, Hyrule Warriors comes out before Smash, unless you're just not excited for it which I totally understand. Either way I'm excited for both games, but Smash takes the cake in my eyes. I guess I'm more excited to beat people up with a variety of characters from different franchises, as oppose to beating people up with characters from the same franchise.

I swear, if they don't make one of Fi's attacks a weaponized tutorial I will be disappointed.
I would get a good chuckle out of a game character grabbing a dialogue box and beating the crap out of someone with it.

To join my Covenant (Disciples of the Star Unseen), you have to go to the Shrine of the Unnamable and twerk before the statue there. If you can rock it hard enough, you'll become a Disciple.

In exchange for regular human sacrifices and/or donuts (both are of equal value), you'll be able to traverse the Hidden Path, remotely probe the souls of living things, and get Air Reward Miles with every defeated enemy.
Ugh. Do I really have to sacrifice my glazed donuts?

It's kind of irritating. They look low leveled, so I ignore them, and then they strike without warning. It might also have to do with the fact that I don't have any party members with me at the current time. I'm just stuck doing the same, tedious cart pushing and homework quests over and over, but I'm not getting any experience. What a waste of time.
Yeah no matter what I do I can't find my exp bar I've tried standard shortcuts, I've gone through the dev tools, but nothing.

The Covenant predates modern paperwork, so we have no insurance packages.

We can instead offer a blood rite that grants immortality (cessation of aging, immunity to disease, increased libido). This doesn't make you invulnerable, but we also have some loot and weapons that can minimize the possibility of death even further.

You can also gift a blood rite to a person of your choosing. 8)

I don't know. I just sort of, lack the faith for Smash.
Speculation has drained my enthusiasm for Smash Bros.

In short, thanks guys. :glare:

Well, we have a 97% satisfaction rate with the arcane rites and rituals at our disposal, the benefits of the dread powers acquired in becoming a Disciple, and the fulfilling joy of serving the Unnamable.

The only downside is that it can be difficult to regularly acquire human sacrifices and/or donuts. If you fail to keep up your dues to the Covenant, you lose all your benefits and become a withered husk. If you don't slack, however, you shouldn't come to close to risking such a thing.

Ah, but then you have the cost for a proper ritual knife. Not to mention a human. They don't just grow on trees.

True, ritual knives do not grow on trees, however, the bark of the Archtrees that grow around the ritual site is traditionally carved into knives that can cut human flesh like butter.

Does anyone know why the heck Earthbound is rated T now?
It could be worse. It's rated M in Australia.

It's (In America) for "Fantasy Violence, Mild Blood, Suggestive Themes, Crude Humor", which mostly makes sense.
Because the ESRB is made of soccer moms and ignorant, video-game hating 60-somethings.
Well, thanks to the growing market, they kind of had to get stricter. Those soccer moms and haters are the people who literally complained to the ESRB because of games like Golgo 13 not getting any rating at all despite pretty much being M-AO Material, and they were forced to get stricter over time. There's still many controversial ratings (Halo Reach, for instance) that show they have some time left before they tone down their 180 degree turn they made a few years back.

Your yearly profit would be zero.

I turned off signatures ages ago. :awesome:
You don't get to see this quotation every single day like most people here do?
"Two things are infinite: the Universe and human stupidity; and I'm not sure about the Universe." — Albert Einstein
I pity your existence.

As for EarthBound's age rating, it's rated 12+ in Europe.

Seriously, though, the ESRB is full of hypocrites.

A small example: Dark Souls and Demon's Souls are rated Mature, but Dark Souls 2 is rated Teen, just because there's less blood splatters when damage is taken...

Despite the fact that there are seriously revealing costumes in Dark Souls 2, when you're Hollowed your character has patches of flesh missing from their body, there are enemies that are essentially nude guys with their junk covered by gross stomach growths, and the list goes on.

And none of this is present in the previous games, and this very serious and suggestive game is rated the same as freaking Earthbound??

So just curious, are they more prude then we are? I just can't bring myself to see Earthbound of all things with an M rating without a reason.
The rating is ridiculously inaccurate.
Here's their rating. It lists Sexual Material as Moderate. Let that sink in for a moment.
All Violence is text-based, in addition. Moderate Themes is slightly justified but I do not get where the sexual material rating came from. I think that should be listed as, I don't know, crude humor and mild suggestive themes?

The ESRB is a little prone to giving a game a higher rating because of blood. Again, me referencing Halo Reach getting a M rating because of the ability to shoot corpses and them splattering out blood. That was literally it.
Also, revealing outfits get under the radar a lot. Just look at Skullgirls :shades:

Mind that age ratings are subjective. And I'm sure that not always the same people rate the games, given they have to rate every single game that is released.

This goes for ESRB as much as it goes for PEGI (Europe), CERO (Japan) and other age rating companies.

I know, I know. It doesn't make it any less frustrating, though.
It's like they don't even look for tone, or theme in the game. They just wait until they see the color red and lazily but hastily stamp that rating on.

This makes me think that the reason that Melee, Brawl & Sm4sh are rated T is because of Ridley.
No, it's Peach's fault!
If she just had black texture underneath her dress everything would've been all better!
That's definitely the only reason.

Wait, I know Earthbound is a bit risque, but there was sexual content in it? I didn't know this.

PEGI's ratings and indicators are quite simple and straightforward.

Age ratings: 3, 7, 12, 16 and 18 (In Portugal, the 3 and 7 rates are replaced by 4 and 6, respectively.)
Indicators (appear as icons besides the age rating): Violence, Foul Language, Fear, Sexual Content, Drugs, Discrimination, Gambling and Online Game

Thing is, the indicators don't distinguish mild or heavy content, but you can deduce that from the age rating.

PEGI rated EarthBound 12+ with only a Foul Language icon. It has no indicator for Sexual Content.
