I'm frankly nothing short of pissed at the remaining roster, and that's in consideration of characters I don't even care about.
DLC characters are probably guaranteed now, though.

Leaving us with just this roster would be like throwing away money.

Also, Yoshinori Ono (of Street Fighter fame) is in the credits of Smash 4. He's also one of the biggest trolls, especially surrounding the new characters of USF4.

I think DHD might be my favorite new addition. Looks like SO much fun to play with and the quirkiness/cuteness is on a whole new level.

I just hope Sakurai knows what he did to the Ridley supporters. With the "teasing" and all.

He was blatantly "teasing" at Ridley being a stage boss the whole time. Like very clearly. It was never hinted that he'd be playable. The whole argument for Ridley being playable was that maybe it was a fake out, in that everything would point against him being playable and then bam surprise he's playable. No one was lead along by anyone except themselves.

I will say this about people being upset about the final character/stage roster cuts ect.. At least it's something totally understandable to be upset about. Half the time I feel like the fandom makes stuff up or goes waaaaaay out of it's way to make things to be upset about, or basically sabotages itself.

Dr. Mario's final smash is so hilariously lazy that it almost makes me angry. I like how they changed his personality though to match that of a stereotypical doctor. It's kind of funny seeing Mario that way.

I haven't seen the final smash. Is it like Mario's?

Either way I usually play with items off so it doesn't matter THAT much to me.

It is, but with Pills. So that was a little bit of a bummer. But he has the Tornado, so that's cool.

Let's see...

What I like:

+ Rosalina, Bowser Jr., Dr. Mario returning
+ Robin over Chrom
+ Villager, Wii Fit Trainer, Shulk
+ Duck Hunt looks fun and creative
+ All the buffs and revamps of classic characters
- Good choices for alternate colors

What I don't like:

- No Ice Climbers
- Starfox, Mother, Ice Climber lose representation
- Greninja
- No Mewtwo, King K. Rool, Ridley, or Dixie Kong
- Poor choices for alternate colors
- No Zelda newcomer, No DK newcomer

I find this video very fitting with the occasion...

I'll miss the cut characters. Some of the exclusions were quite unexpected. I admit I'd never imagine the Ice Climbers being excluded, but I understand why they were likely cut.

But, the newcomers are just amazing. Looking forward to try out all of them.

Dr. Mario being Mario without FLUDD is just great and Melee fans will like him. Brawl fans will have normal Mario to play as. Win-win situation here.

Plus, portable Smash is just great.

I once said I imaged Dr. Mario's Final Smash would just be a jpeg of a giant pill just ackwardly scrolling from one side of the screen to another. Im kinda ok with it being the way it is, since at least he has the tornado back.

The Wii U DK stage better be amazing to make up for the lack of content.

I think I should share my thoughts on what I like and don't like about Smash. It might clear my head quicker:

My Pros:

• All alt colours/costumes are varied and fantastic.
• Lots of returning characters in an updated, colourful style from past Smash games.
• Quite a bit of content to play through on just one version of Smash.
• Portable Smash.
• Online Mode and features.
• Newcomers with unique fighting styles, favorites include:
  • Mega Man
  • Greninja
  • Palutena
  • Rosalina & Luma
  • Possibly Bowser Jr. and Duck Hunt Dog.
• Plenty of stages for portable Smash game.
• Single Player game modes.

My Cons:

• Big name fan requested characters ignored.
• The clone characters.
• A lot of bias in terms of content for some series (especially Mario), while other series didn't get new characters or stages in this version.
• Limited music.

As long as I can get over Ridley and King K. Rool's absences, I shouldn't be feeling down on this.

I believe that we're getting more characters through interconectivity between the two versions. You must buy both versions to unlock the full roster, but they both have the same roster.

It's the fact he was the single most requested character for this game, Game Freak had been really pushing him last year, and Sakurai directly addressed him, and he still wasn't included.

I would like to say by now that September 11th, 2001 is nothing but a distant memory and a bad one at that. Nonetheless, still a distant memory like World War II and as such, I honestly that feel people who lost loved ones that September morning should have moved on by now. Nothing can bring them back, but moping around isn't what they would want to you do! Certainly not a decade or more after the attacks!
