Smash 4 Social Thread 3.0

After Illegal Rare's cancellation and the fact that Naruto is one the verge of having its climatic ending (Finally!), it's safe to say that action manga aren't as popular on Weekly Shonen Jump as they seem anymore. If you get a load of new series like Assassination Classroom and Saiki Kusuo no Sainan, they clearly have little to no action and turn out to be pretty popular series regardless. Assassination Classroom is a slice of life/gag. Saiki's a gag, Nisekoi is a romcom, Haikyu!! is sports, Hinomaru Zumo is sports, and Boku no Hero Academia appears to be some action/gag hybrid like Tottemo! Luckyman. I can already tell that it's gonna take years until we have another big action manga to replace Naruto after its death.

In other news, get a load of the new judo manga: Having the main character with a badly drawn finger and looking like Gintoki = epic fail!

Well, perhaps the Japanese are getting tired of the same old shounen action series?

Can't say that for sure, because there are other shounen action manga that are popular, such as Fairy Tail or Blue Exorcist. One Piece definitely qualifies too.

I'd guess it could be a matter of oversaturation? Also, I heard Naruto had been suffering from heavy quality loss, which doesn't help. It could be that people are just tired of Naruto.

To be honest, I agree. Greninja looks top tier, but I'm hoping Lucario is up their too. Not much is known about him currently, but from what I've seen, he's been greatly buffed, so I'm doubting he's the middleman again.

Lucario looks way better in Smash 4. Definitely going to be more competitively viable than in Brawl. I could see him as a B Tier or maybe even low A Tier character.

Screw Sony and their Intellectual Property. If IP didn't exist, Blu Ray would be free as hell.

All the drivers for Blu Ray cost money since they have to pay royalties to Sony.

My disk drive can play Blu Ray, but Microsoft didn't want to play ball with Sony. We're stuck with it

Well I fond out I'm getting an extra $5000-ish from student loans in the form of grants this year. I can get all the game i want.

Well... me too but... I kinda don't want to use loan money ya know?

I'm just starting this whole adult thing. Got my first car and job over the summer. I still need to get car insurance, buy a phone, get a mobile plan... pay off the loan I've already used. pay a 220$ towing fee . (in other words 2 weeks worth of a pay check) even if its just an extra 40 bucks. I'd like to keep it for a little.

He's decently high up in brawl as is currently, tippity top of Upper Mid Tier to be exact, and so far he seems to only be buffed from brawl and should be able to get more out of the Smash 4 engine as well thanks to the lack of hit-stun cancel, seeing as in Brawl he was already a combo orientated character to begin with the lack of hit-stun cancel should benefit his greatly. I can only see good things happening to him in Smash 4 in terms of competitive play.

I've always wanted to try Punch-Out!! so I might try and get that one. Though I wish I could play the original version with Mike Tyson in it instead.

The good news is that there's finally a new Super Monkey Ball game. The bad news, it's only exclusive to Google Play and other damn mobile systems. Sega, I know that the previous console iterations were controversial (Banana Blitz and Step & Roll) but we really need a new game that belongs on consoles this gen. A Super Monkey Ball Wii U would have been a great way for Sega to get back into their good routes.

He was actually pretty fine in Brawl, or at least he has done a few things people weren't expecting.
