could it just be that you've forgotten? It seems like its taught at every school already...

keep in mind i never elected a history course or did a subject that was focused on history. I learnt it in english / SOSE (Studies of society / environment).

english went a little bit into parts of history where relevant... but was mainly english, not history
sose was year 7-8... was a lot of geography n compasses n **** from what i remember rofl

Well since History's becoming a subject of it's own now in years 1-7 with this national curriculum garbage, I guess people will have no excuse for being ignorant soon.
Actually, I'm rather intrigued why you think the proposed national curriculum is garbage. Asking someone who is actively in the education sphere should provide good insight.
