There really is no denying that this huge update was to cover up that delay. I guess....I guess a delay isn't the worst thing in the world. Unlike simply releasing it out in one spot and taking awhile for another, which seems rather poitless if it takes so long, a delay has its reasons. If they need to take their time to perfect the game, then let them. I don't want bugs in it, so I guess I'll sacrifice some time. Hopefully not that much.

Anyways, besides Sonic, there's a lot of other things that those videos showed us, such as you can use ZSS without using Samus's FS. (Or possibly that there can be more than one smash ball per match)

Sonic is looking top tier to me, with same insanely high jumps and powerful Knockback. I'm interested in the SMYN adaptation of the whole thing. Sure we got Sonic, but pulling the game back past the holiday season... Loss of sales. I don't care, because this allows me more time to save up for a Wii.

I'm sure this will be discussed in full at the Roundtable.

As a side note youko, Japan is confirmed to get Brawl on January 24th, 2008.

Edit: D*** it, E for all is in Los Angeles. I'm like 8 hours off. They moved it=it was suppose to be in a city by San Francisco, and I was gonna go.

Samurai, from the way it's worded and the like do you think Sakurai was just using the song to make a joke, or do you think the song actually made it into Brawl in some fashion?

The song is definately going to be in Brawl somehow. The lyrics of the song go something like a recipe, but in this case a recipe for Smash. It's a play on the actual game where the chef reads the steps to making a dish out loud.

The song lists the steps involved in making "Smash", though the steps involve actually preparing and cooking meat somewhat.

Yeah, that site is full of it. Check the SSBB dojo main page, they changed the release date from December to TBD (to be determined).

Yeah, let's not bring that link suspicion in this thread. I'm sick of seeing it in others when it's not even confirmed anywhere else, and it's not even an official source. That could have just been derived from the fact that the JAPANESE conference didn't happen to mention the AMERICAN release date.

It's like the argument that, "Oh, Nintendo's official website still has Brawl as December 3rd!". Yeah, well, that same site also says that the number of players for Brawl are "To be determined" when it's obviously 1-4.

I'm not saying give up all hope, wait until the San Francisco Nintendo of America conference that's supposed to be within the next day or so according to Matt of IGN for any info.

Myself, I wouldn't mind just a simple color swap - GREEN SONIC! lol. That is an interesting subject that my friends were guessing around on. It's kind of silly to imagine Sonic going the route of Pikachu and wearing a party hat. As for costumes, Metal Sonic, Silver Sonic.... There is a list. Blaze could be one, even. Just not Tails or Knuckles- they are far too unique. I wouldn't put it past Youko to bring this up on today's roundtable.

NO COLOR TINTS GAGH!!!!! Look, I got a perfect idea. Give us his Riders Costume, Glasses and everything. Then we can have like, him with this Light Dash shoes on... I'm really surprised he didn't get that as a Special Move, presumadly Smash B. I like his Up B, really nice. But either or, Sonic looks like PWNAGE, he's mine.

Oh, and you'd lose the ShowDown, xD. I got every about Sonic game, and beat all of them too. The only ones I don't have is Sonic Rush Adventure, Sonic the Hedgehog 06, Sonic Shuffle, and Sonic the Fighters. I believe Blaze having the same moves is the point of having the alternate costume - eshe's not supposed to look like Sonic. And lol color tints.

Don't be so quick to react, Sariku! I do not own the DS games, but I do have Sonic 06 and Sonic the Fighters, as well as all of the Game Gear games. Am am missing Sonic adv. 3, but I have borrowed it and beaten it. Having no money keeps me from buying it, and nothing else.

It means what you believe, and that is 'the Hedgehog', Because that has been rooted back to my early days on the internet. I am more commonly known as 'Soul' nowadays, but on message boards, I adapt Super or SuperTH. And that's my makeshift 'Show Yourself'. XD

Moving on, I checked out all the gameplay vids that I could find, including the Sonic vs. Link in Smashville. I want to attack whoever played Sonic in that battle, as he was doing so well until he went for that Fire Flower, and screwed himself over with that. I know the feeling of wanting to move and shoot, but there is a limit! I can't wait for Youko and SamuraiPanda's remarks on these and Sonic in general in this weeks Roundtable. Sakurai isn't the only one playing mindgames... Youko has been rather silent about Guest Star's appearing in SMYN on Roundtable, just like Sakurai(until recently).
