It does seem like Sakurai has gone well out of his way to hide every possible hint at Sheik from us. Zelda hasn't had a character update yet, her Down+B can't be confirmed from any source, etc. The obvious reason is that revealing it will answer the Sheik question. But if Sheik is in the game as part of Zelda, then why didn't Sakurai update her long ago? We went months for lack of a character update and Sheik would obviously be a starter, it makes no sense to hide such a basic piece of information. It makes more sense to me that the Down+B will not be a transformation and Sakurai does not want to deconfirm a character. Even if we find that Zelda is on her own, it's still completely possible that Sheik has simply been separated though, and Sakurai could easily leave that up for debate. Either way I don't really understand why he's being so enigmatic about it.

Sky Jump is what Fly is called in the Japanese Pokemon games.

Ive read that some people were lead to believe that Zelda's down special was confirmed in the February issue of Corocoro. But this is not true. I purchased the magazine and checked out the Smash Brawl inserts. No where does it make mention of her down special or a "twilight change"

I took a picture to confirm this for all the nay sayers out there. As you can see on the card where the special moves are listed the final move was left off. Thus only her neutral, up and side special attacks are shown on the card.

Of the 23 character cards her's is the only one that does not have a down special listed. Take this to mean whatever you want. I just have to let it be known that Shiek is still unconfirmed as far as Corocoro has shown.

Wow...I hadn't even considered that! I figured that the parenthetical note on "Twilight Change" was put in by the original poster, but this is crazy. Thanks a bunch!

Sky Jump (SORA WO TOBU) is Fly.

I usually let Chris at Brawl Central know about this stuff when I find out about it. But I was busy these last two days, so I didnt get the magazine until today. He just went with what someone else said first. Anyhow, I sent him an e-mail telling him about the false info.

Well, it was as reliable a source as one could ever have had. No one else had the magazine at the time, let alone scans of the cards contained therein. There's a difference between knowingly posting fake information and posting information from fairly credible sources only to be later disproven.

As would I. You got instant access to two ORIGINAL characters=double the mindgames. That is a completely unfair advantage at all levels of play in my opinion. Especially if both are balanced characters. And it's kinda hard to transform in the middle of battle, lol!

She HAS a unique moveset, and so does Shiek. It gives them unfair mindgame advantage. Besides-Zelda only transforms into Shiek in one game. Zelda is in her "universal" form (Link is in his Twilight Princess form), and Shiek can ONLY be in her Ocarina of Time form. Therefore-it would fit.

And 23 cards...how many characters do we have=??? (or had) 23...now 24. They'd have to cut a character to add Shiek or Olimar, and they probably didn't recieve info on them, either (from Nintendo). >_>

I can only say that I will try to keep up my hopes that Sheik will not return to be playable.
If Zelda needs to "transform" so badly, give her the rapier or the cloaks if you're that desperate, but if she's going to be overshadowed by a god**** costume again only to remain the worst designed character in the game ( besides Ike, I guess ), I will scream.
