I usually let Chris at Brawl Central know about this stuff when I find out about it. But I was busy these last two days, so I didnt get the magazine until today. He just went with what someone else said first. Anyhow, I sent him an e-mail telling him about the false info.
to be honest, I have no idea who you are, nor a reason to trust you. why should I believe you when you say it's "false info"?

would you please upload some high res pictures, of both the front and back, and see if SamuraiPanda can translate them? I'll believe him if he says that Sheik isn't mentioned.

i dunno
he is. the one confirming Sheik had Zelda's Final Smash: Light Arrows, including a picture of her using it.

nice try though.

and whats Sky Jump? is that a newer attack I've never heard about? or is it the Japanese name for a move thats named differently in the US version?
Sky Jump is the name of "Fly" in the Japanese version. :)

Well thanks for the info man. I'd like to see a higher resolution shot of Zelda's Final Smash.

Believe what you want. But what Im saying is what I have gathered to be true for the following reasons. A: I live in Japan and have a copy of the magazine which I purchased at my local supermarket. B: I speak fluent Japanese and can understand everything written on the cards.

If you want hi-res photos, I cant help you there. These pictures were taken with my cell phone and that is the best I can do.

I come from the land of the ice and snow..
O.O

I give up. If they're really going to wait this long to reveal it, then Shiek is confirmed. I really don't think they'd be making such a big deal about some random down+b move.
Unless Sheik is out or is her own separate character. If they told us Zelda's Down B ISN'T Sheik, it's as good as a deconfirmation, so it makes sense that they would hide it either way.

Basically, we won't know until release.

Wait, so Twilight Change was just some bull a kid said and was never actually on the card? >.<

And I agree with Lizard: somebody just post what the freakin' cards say. It's so much easier than having to "correspond" with websites. It's not like they make any money off their "news" anyways.

I believe you, am over it, and didn't really care about the original "confirmation" anyway. What I would like to know is the list of special moves and FS for each character. I wish someone would do that...considering we've only seen a handful of them listed on the dojo site.

What happened is that these pictures were posted by a Japanese source, and I think that source also provided a list of Zelda's specials which they claimed was written on the card(which was illegible thanks to the picture quality). Turns out the latter part was a lie, but people translated it and so everybody else trusted the translators and assumed it was real. I admit it didn't occur to me either until Panda basically said as much in that thread. This is why you always, always scrutinize the source very carefully when there's so much incentive for people to post fakes.

Do I believe Zelda's down-B was the only one listed? Yes.
Do I believe Charizard's up-B is Sky Jump? Yes.
Do I believe Wario's up-B is Corkscrew? Yes.

There's no reason to doubt, I'd just like to know the other 89 specials.

Sorry for my persistence.

then why wont you post more pictures? if it's true, there should be no reason for you to hide it...

and the picture on the first post is, like, 47 times clearer than the Brawl Central one. we don't care if it's done with your cell phone, it's good.

kashikomarima****a gave us some "info" (or lack of) from the first CoroCoro magazine about a month ago. he seems reliable enough to me
I didn't know that... sorry... I we still want pictures though

Yeah, if Charizard's Up+B isn't Air Slash, there goes almightygoat's credibility.

Still, any mention of any other moves we may not have seen?
f%$@ thealmightygoat

What I think we need now is:

Ikes Side B and Down B
Same for Pit and Diddy
Snake's Down B
Wario's Standard B

Just so we can flesh out the Smashwiki.

They refuse showing Zelda's down special making it too obvious that they are returning Sheik.

Wait... I thought this issue wasn't supposed to hit the shelves in Japan until Monday. Regardless, if you already have the issue, why not just post everything it says and pics of the 30 cards?

As I said before IF it was in Coro Coro, it would be true...

If it wasn't, it's useless speculation.

I still believe they are going to keep some form of "Sheik"...

But I really am not caring right now

his side special has been referred to as "Ranger Critical" but I don't know if thats the official name...
Where did you see this?
E4All vids and stuff. His Side B is a fast sideways attack move. Kinda like Fox Illusion only not that fast and he swing his sword. Smashwiki calls it Ranger Critical. It's not the offical name. Neither is counter. The entire point of asking about the names is to find out what they're called.

Oh... I think he's planning to post them in this thread when he finnishes translating the cards.

Edit: @ andyark I know a little bit of Japanese, and from the card on the first page I can tell that the names are still the original goddesses of Hyrule.

If Zelda's specials have been renamed to their Twilight Princess counterparts...

What about Ordon? Or Ordona, cna't remember how to spell it....
Actually, her specials haven't been renamed.

The (now fake) info had Twilight Princess names.

But the card in the OP has the OoT names like Din's Fire, Nayru's Love, and Farore's Wind.

Well, it makes more sense for Zelda to use the power of the Triforce Goddesses in my opinion

But it might be the case in the English version.

Din -> Eldin
Naryu -> Lanaryu
Farore -> Faron

It would be odd for the skill counterparts to not be renamed in reflection of Twilight Princess.

Also, in the videos, Ike looks fun to play as, regardless of how much those players sucked :ohwell:

The triforce goddesses were canonically also in Twilight Princess, so how would it be odd?

It does seem like Sakurai has gone well out of his way to hide every possible hint at Sheik from us. Zelda hasn't had a character update yet, her Down+B can't be confirmed from any source, etc. The obvious reason is that revealing it will answer the Sheik question. But if Sheik is in the game as part of Zelda, then why didn't Sakurai update her long ago? We went months for lack of a character update and Sheik would obviously be a starter, it makes no sense to hide such a basic piece of information. It makes more sense to me that the Down+B will not be a transformation and Sakurai does not want to deconfirm a character. Even if we find that Zelda is on her own, it's still completely possible that Sheik has simply been separated though, and Sakurai could easily leave that up for debate. Either way I don't really understand why he's being so enigmatic about it.
