What are some good strategies and things to look out for a Luigi that's kinda aggressive and likes to Nair, Fair and Smashes a lot? Edge guaarding is no problem but recovering is hard because he always walk off the ledge to Fair, which always hits.
Space your better, higher range, higher priority aerials. Notably Bair and Fair. Bair I think is better but that's just my opinion and I'm not sure if others agree with me. Throwing needles frequently or dropping through platforms with needles frequently is also rather effective, grounded needles when timed to hit him has he comes out of his waveshield bullshit is also very good.

Recover onto a platform if you can with your Up+B. If you're being hit through your Up+B you're doing it too late and not getting the invincibility. So do it earlier and less stupidly. Going for a platform avoids being Shoryukened at like 70 and dying from it, he's stuck doing a much more DIable Dair or Fair to knock you off.

Yeah, bair seems like it would be really safe. He can grab you after a fair? Seriously? He's not as slidey as I thought...

Dude, KirbyKaze, using bold to get around the censor? Very clever.

I can occasionally moonwalk good enough so I can moonwalk up-b cancel off an edge with link.

In other words, I can't moonwalk for my life.

I can however run off double poof =D..... or rather used to be able to do it.......

<----- needs more tech skill :(

Alright, its been awhile since I've been here. I really hate Sheik dittos. What's the best way to get out of a tech chase?

Don't be predictable.

Edit:
Sorry, to really answer your question i should say "not being predictable"

There is no real answer. You can use buffered spot dodges or rolls, but sheik can just wait for your spotdodge and then grab. As i said it's always about predicting and stuff, that's why you should always mix up.

it depends on how well your opponent can tech chase. But common escapes would be tech in place to buffer roll, or tech anywhere and attempt to protect yourself with d-smash or something (which they can CC at lower percents but its still one of your safest moves). Just try experimenting with different things.

Just be random in techs in Sheik ditto. Sheik's tech roll is super amazing so abuse accordingly. On platforms it doesn't really matter if they're good at all they'll hit you and **** combo you.

If they're chain grabbing then either be better at getting grabs and doing chain grabs or go Fox.

how are the steps predictable? when everything revolves around the mindgame for a grab, the best approach wins. people who can't switch up approaches get butt ****ed.

I wont disagree with that in the least. In fact, I believe that the approach and the mindgames that happen between combos are the most important thing, feel free to disagree with me there, but once the grabs and combos begin, nothing changes. It's routine. Sure you can change up your DI, but too many people have too much experience, and know whats coming. Mind games between combos and hits can change, but the hits always end up the same. Predictable.

I find Sheik ditto with chain grab is mostly just needle camping for a needle --> grab setup or CCing mispaced stuff into grabs or just trying to do an aerial (Fair) and then baiting out a response (you've spaced so they can't punish).

But I don't do Sheik dittos with chain grab much so what do I know.

I think its the same in both cases.

Needle camping is a really good way to setup for grabs. Otherwise its mostly CCing for grabs.

In either case grabs leads to huge damage and grabs are basically the sheik ditto... lol

yep soap, i realized that when i sheik dittoed aesis

you try so hard for that one grab because you know it's a stock if you play it right, but it messes you up

just stick to playing smart and the grabs will come

i think WAAAAY too many sheiks needle camp because, unless you're plank status, you're probably really bad at it and don't realize it until you play someone just as good or better. if you're on a platform, you have to land. if you have to land, i'll stay below you and **** your **** with a ftilt or utilt (or dash attack). if i keep it simple, you'll be the one to mess up first.
