Kid that runs around and attacks things like Arthur in GnG. Star of a game that's successfully funded via Kickstarter (and helped realise a little girl's dream).Who's that again? Sorry if I'm just being stupid, but I really don't know.
Sure, he can, but that doesn't necessarily mean he should.Honestly, I wouldn't mind, seeing as Mario Vs. DK wasn't as appealing to me once it went the Lemmings route.
I mean, let's face it, Mario can adapt to practically anything. No one ever thought he'd be in an X-Comesque strategy RPG with the Rabbids, yet here we are.
We're talking genres, not outright aping mechanics from other series…Sure, he can, but that doesn't necessarily mean he should.
Oh, sure, they eventually acknowledged who did anti-gravity first with DLC, but the damage was done. Now picture this, but for Metroid.
It's not the theft itself that's problematic, it's what it symbolizes. F-Zero just couldn't compete with Mario Kart without enough to set it apart, and with the latter taking the one thing that did says a lot. A metaphorical nail in the coffin if you will. We're talking genres, not outright aping mechanics from other series…
I mean, I can't really picture Mario attacking people by throwing his hands at them, or transforming via belly dancing.
That probably already happened somewhere in the dark, treacherous depths of the internet.I mean, I can't really picture Mario transforming via belly dancing.
The reason it happened is because Miyamoto "ran out of ideas".It's not the theft itself that's problematic, it's what it symbolizes. F-Zero just couldn't compete with Mario Kart without enough to set it apart, and with the latter taking the one thing that did says a lot. A metaphorical nail in the coffin if you will.
"Forever"? Geez, she's gonna have a pretty awkward situation on her hands when Shantae 6 comes out...
Yup. At least E3's in two months from now.so now we basically play the waiting game huh?
That will be the earliest we hear anything about Shantae 5, and the lastest for any new smash characters. If we don't get anything during Jokers reveal then we have to wait till thenYup. At least E3's in two months from now.
And if, by some miracle, we get what we want... Start cackling, fellas.Well, we will see soon.
For now, just stand your ground until official news relating to Shantae's situation shows up regarding people's opinion.

That's very interesting........Man, Nintendo better get another direct out there soon before Best Buy leaks everything...

Why?That's very interesting........

The Link to the Past thing is what's most interesting. That's very interesting........

Still, I don't know if Best Buy is purely doing all of it out for attention. The Link to the Past thing is what's most interesting.
I don't see them releasing another 2d remake with Link' Awakening just around the corner, so that makes me think that this could be a port to the Switch eshop (since Best Buy does sell code cards for downloads) If that's the case we could finally be getting some virtual console-esq content for the Switch finally.
It feels like Best Buy are just having their own Direct.Man, Nintendo better get another direct out there soon before Best Buy leaks everything...

Nintendo Life folks thought the same thing as you.It feels like Best Buy are just having their own Direct.
Japanese gaming mag from 1986 mistakenly depicted Link as a woman https://t.co/w38QS85p7r pic.twitter.com/ZDiXjLcvyi

I bet whoever drew this got really confused and frustrated when Metroid came out.I know this is not Shantae related, but I am curious to see how many of you have heard about this.

It's making some great fan art.
I did. It's a rather curious early case of game character graphics interpretation.I know this is not Shantae related, but I am curious to see how many of you have heard about this.

Or better yet, if they heard of Arkista's Ring later on.I bet whoever drew this got really confused and frustrated when Metroid came out.
And somehow it made one of the best female Link designs before anyone else got a chance.I did. It's a rather curious early case of game character graphics interpretation.
She's quite cute! So, this means we now have two genderswapped versions of Link, right?. Well. the more the merrier!I know this is not Shantae related, but I am curious to see how many of you have heard about this.

Well, this is not a Nintendo mag from the look of things, so we still just have Linkle when it comes to official female Link's.She's quite cute! So, this means we now have two genderswapped versions of Link, right?. Well. the more the merrier!
Hopefully they try with the concept again in the future.Well, this is not a Nintendo mag from the look of things, so we still just have Linkle when it comes to official female Link's.
I imagine they will. I don't recall where I heard this ir if it's even true, but I am pretty sure they said that they would keep Linkle in mind when making the main line games.Hopefully they try with the concept again in the future.
I just feel like a female Link would work great in regards to the original concept of Link.I imagine they will. I don't recall where I heard this ir if it's even true, but I am pretty sure they said that they would keep Linkle in mind when making the main line games.
I get the feeling that if they are going to make a female Link for a game, they are going to go all in and make the Link exclusively female.I just feel like a female Link would work great in regards to the original concept of Link.
He was created as someone who the players could reflect themself as, and adding a female version would improve the inversion into the game a lot.
We will have to wait and see then.I get the feeling that if they are going to make a female Link for a game, they are going to go all in and make the Link exclusively female.
And what reason is that?Nintendo will not gender bent their characters. That is something from a fanart of deviantart would do lol. People keep forgetting WHY Link is a Male protagonist in the first place.
I mean, her appearing in a mainline game would be cool, but I'd still like to see her get her own spin off game.I imagine they will. I don't recall where I heard this ir if it's even true, but I am pretty sure they said that they would keep Linkle in mind when making the main line games.
Yeah, but video game industry doesn't cater almost exclusively to boys and men now, so that reason isn't really valid anymore.People keep forgetting WHY Link is a Male protagonist in the first place.
I think that’s avaliable on t shirts!
Except Link was created by Shigeru Miyamoto himself so Japan unlike anywhere else it seems nowadays tend to respect a creator's work. Keep Link as male and created NEW female characters for the series as they have so far done. Leave the SJW nonsense out of Nintendo.Yeah, but video game industry doesn't cater almost exclusively to boys and men now, so that reason isn't really valid anymore.
