Hey just wanted to drop in and say I'm really happy Shantae is getting a new game! I hope everyone is looking forward to it

Anyway, what are the chances that voice acting will be used once again for Shantae 5 (which I am currently convinced is the final title)?

Cristina feels like a given, I don’t think they’d have too much trouble with Cherami or Karen, though Nate I’m curious about since he and Cristina have...split up. I don’t know if they’d be comfortable working together or if he wants to focus more on his music career so he won’t have the time to devote to this series. It’s possible neither could be a problem but they might have been thinking of a replacement for him just in case.

That would be weird for me to hear, as I mainly recognize Robbie for his role as Akechi.

But in terms of gameplay there's a few things I want added.

First: Give Shantae's hair whip a charge attack. The exact function of which can change depending on equipment or outfits or even the difficulty level. She could store a powerful attack like Mega Man or just have her hair whip autofire.

Second: Give transfomations a basic attack. A little utility goes a long way, and makes each form useful if caught off guard by foes

Third: A bit more of a focused story. I loved HGH but it's story was pretty inconsequential.

I'd actually like to see how grabbing enemies with her hair would work. I'm surprised it isn't a thing yet.

HGH felt more like an attempt to kick off an animated series than anything else with the way the Kickstarter was set up. Luckily now that that is done and over with, they're brought back down to earth and may move on to a wham episode this time.

It turns out the Nindie reveal was just the leaker assuming things based on their info. "Hmm these two are getting new games and are coming out this year...ehh they'll PROBABLY be revealed a/the nindie direct so I'll say it in my leak and I should be fine."

Unless your hair is supernaturally mobile, grabbing stuff with it is pointlessly cumbersome. Even Dixie Kong realized this and stopped doing that in Tropical Freeze after seeing how agonizingly slow it was to grab and throw things with it.

I was only joking, Bolo isn't too bad.

You laugh, but I honestly think Bolo has the potential to make a real difference in Scuttle Town with his dojo ambitions. His martial skill is clearly strong as we can't forget he trained Shantae in human combat and she turned out honestly great, it's only his strategizing that's bad. At worst he might need someone to help put his experience in words.

I haven't really seen any. Im sure there's a few but it's not like persona, shantae is still more western, even if more known in japan than before.

It’d be nice to see him in action a lot more, (copy and pasted from the Shantae wiki but)
Supposedly, he springs to life when he has a chance to fight, but he's often left behind during Shantae's adventures and has yet to show off these skills.

This is how I think Shantae would react to those ridiculous tweets by the SJWs saying her attire is sexual.



"Even though they contradict their own arguments about how women should be allowed to wear whatever the want wiithout being sexualized by saying that..." Also the arbitrary additions of two earth rotations around the sun to a fictional character's age suddenly makes their attire and characterization suddenly okay when it was touted as immoral and sick previously is downright idiotic.
