The only big change so far is the the knowledge that Nintendo themselves picked the DLC fighters and Sakurai chooses from them.

However given how vague the statement is it's hard to say if Shantae's chances are positively or negatively impacted by this. It's not entirely certain whether Nintendo will use DLC for promotion like Corrin or to include 3rd party.

But at the end of the day Sakurai will decide what he thinks will be the best for the game and community. Meanwhile we'll do our best to make our voices heard.


Also if we're showing our mains I might as well jump in.

Random thing but if Shantae gets revealed as DLC for Ultimate ammong MANY things I will be posting on the internet, THIS is one I will take GREAT joy in posting alongside " I ******* TOLD YOU HATERS! AAHAHAHAHHAA!!!"

While its nice to be excited, I don't really see the benefit of being smug about it. That just ruins it for everyone else...

True but the haters have it coming with all their:
-Too sexy
-Niche
-SK is an AT that means Shantae has ZERO chances
-Shantae is a spirit means deconfirmed for DLC
-Shantal

Basically they will deserve the backlash from us the same way that one dude who just days before Incineroar was revealed made a topic about Incineroar being 100% in the roster and almost everyone was on his case. You guys got to have a read of that since it is hilarious looking back.

I remember the K. Rool haters saying he would be a Bowser Echo and he would waste a slot. After he was revealed, I remember some of these haters coming out and saying something like ''I always wanted K. Rool, he has a awesome moveset.'' Lmao! Watch, the Shantae haters will turn around and do the same thing when she get's in.

I dont need to hear basic ethics here. Besides the places I go thats the norm around there its alll essentially in good fun.

What could go wrong? Well, for one thing, that Samus could be a mummy in disguise because look at those bony fingers and joints. But I digress, the Shantae-Metroid trend is still going strong.

I'm surprised to see so many Palutenas.
It's good if people use her this time around. I plan to play with her regardless of how she turns out to be. I dont think she'll be very high on the tier list again, but who knows, and i want to see how far her potential can go :)

I liked her a lot in 4 but mostly used her custom moves. I loved heavenly light and Celestial fireworks.

Her best custom was the (sonic) super speed dash tho. It was so fun to dash around too. She kept her momentum from the dash so it was possible to fly around almost :p
I know it's just hopeful wishing, but I really hope they somehow put a secret in there for her to change some of her moves like side-b to that dash, so she can become a good fighter :)
But she's still palutena, and she's awesome anyway :)

Honestly, I'm glad custom moves aren't a thing anymore...it made going Random too unpredictable for me. But to me, it looks like they did Palutena right. And having her down special be both a reflect and counter is so mean and I love it. But I'm not putting together a big list until I have Ultimate in my hands.

Well Palutena was my "Shantae" before Shantae became my main focus you can say.

I love Palutena, she was my 3rd main back in Smash 4. But now, she's going to be my 4th or 5th main in Ultimate because of K. Rool and Ridley getting in.

I looked at her last post on here and she was fighting pichu about steve, not connor from what I could tell. Still, I have no idea why everyone was fighting so much about steve that day...
