It's not a rumor. CoroCoro has actually retracted the 108 stage statement. The discussion part is the reason why they did so.

Hmmm I don't think i said that the right way sorry. I guess what i'm trying to say is the retraction wasn't the rumour but that 5 stages (108) being left or not is. And some of y'all are assuming we wont get any new stages because of the retraction. But without final details we still can't say for certain the number of stages won't change. Also the logic behind the retraction is also kinda shaky.

Well, Connor gets bent out of shape by some people saying things. I'd rather he not do that here... tho anger is a good step up from worry/pannic sometimes, ... just dont stay there. There's good reasons to remember the good stuff and not get hooked by claims people say, or a 'drought' of information. And yeah.. if you can get it out of your system and see it doesnt help to post things in anger, try not to do it again ;p

Really, anything's possible, and we sometimes have a few people looking at the worst scenarios, that's not a good indication of things overall. and I think we can just stay positive and know that there's good chances, either for base roster or for dlc. And also I dont really want to limit what I think to theories some people come up with to lower their expectations. I want to see what will come from nintendo in the next weeks. And I want to be hopeful

I have to agree. There's no reason to start panicking or jumping ship. While I would recommend a healthy dose of reality, that doesn't mean you cant be hopeful. Abandoning all hope because of a small possibility isn't what Smash speculation is. You're supposed to be excited that your newcomer might get in!

I recommend buying Skyrim or Breathe of the Wild if that's the case, man. It'll keep you guys occupied until Smash. It helped for me. I've sunken so many damn hours in Skyrim, I forgot it wasn't the real world.

I'm a lot cooler in Skyrim. I can conjure anything and heal everything. Also, no one judged me on my color in Skyrim. We're all garbage there. Lmao.

If that was the case, I'd say it'd have to be announced probably either today, or tomorrow, and I don't really see that happening.

It is still a Bandai Namco game, and she only voices the custom characters and a side character, so...

She could've possibly voiced Shantae for Smash Ultimate too? I don't know. Chances are somewhat slim, since voice work is normally handled by a 3rd party, so it might not be.
