If this is true, it might be all over for us.

First, It's not from a reliable source. Anyone can make a fake leak. And Second: Didn't that guy come onto this thread and outright say he's not a supporter? That seems like another big blow to his already non-existent credibility, since he could just have said "I'm expecting these guys, so I'll put them down, and I don't want Shantae, so i'll say she's an Assist Trophy".

About the smash related news.. Really, looking at how things are going, it's weird to go back and forth and back and forth with these news/claims. Just trust a little and be open.



And I got some bad news from Dylly. He was able to be more coherent, but he says that they don't know if he can recover, and he's been preparing his funeral in case. He's sorry if he's brought up pain because of this. I'm sorry too.

I hope he finds a way to survive... I don't know him, but from what i've seen, I can tell that he really doesn't deserve this.

I've only gotten one message today, so I don't know how much he's able to do, but he had a big episode yesterday and he says that his body's condition is really bad (not sure exactly why or for how long) and the doctors aren't sure he's going to come back from this.
I'm quite sad about this, but there's not much I can do. I told him I care and that I believe in him, and I conveyed some messages from others to him. He was able to read a bit the shantae thread today, but don't count on it, you should either pm, or have me convey a message, if you want to say or ask something.

I just don't think that Incineroar and Ken would be the last two characters we'd get before launch. Neither of them are really hype characters in any way, shape, or form.

I could think of worse Pokemon, but few more disappointing. heck, Incineroar wouldn't be so bad if Litten and Torracat hadn't been such amazing designs. Decidueye would be much better for a Gen 7 rep, but...if we get another starter, I'd say give us Sceptile. If not, Gardevoir would be sweet.

So each character has their own theme for Classic mode that dictates their fights. For Kirby it was "Gourmet Clash" and was shown fighting Yoshi, so he's probably fighting a bunch of big eaters. DK had "Journey to New Donk City" and was fighting Inklings in Moray Towers so he's probably going through all the city stages.

What would Shantae's classic mode theme be and who or where would she be going?

He better not be right. We don't always need a new Pokemon, especially in a game that will barely have any newcomers. But I for the most part don't believe him. Besides Richter, everything has been obvious choices that I got right. I could have claimed all the revealed characters so far (except Richter because I never heard of him), and claimed to be a leaker, and I would have been right so far. Hell, even now, the two remaining characters I have left that I fully believe are Skull Kid and Shadow (even though I strongly prefer Metal Sonic, I believe Shadow is getting in instead). If those two make it in, and that end up being the full cast, I'd say I'm psychic...which would be scary O.o And considering every character I predicted were characters I have zero interest in, it means I'm not even bias because I don't care for ANY of these characters I predicted >.< Really wish I could predict Shantae >.<

Yeah like I said a few posts ago, I predicted every one of them, and I'm not a leaker. But I don't predict Incineror or Ken. Wouldn't be surprised to see Ken, but I only predicted Skull Kid and Shadow left.

I mean hell, we knew Isabelle was going to be in this game since 2014, and Inklings since 2015. We knew K.Rool was in it since E3. And yes, I know he was revealed AFTER E3, but we knew he was in once Ridley was revealed, which we also already knew was going to be in a Smash some day anyway. Simon was mostly a coin toss, but he was on Heads of that coin toss, so... And once they revealed Daisy, then Dark Samus and Chrom were super easy guesses.

I know many of us aren't all too keen on the idea on Incineroar being the New Pokemon, but I've been thinking, could it possibly help us? Now hear me out here: Our biggest competition, besides Steve, is Travis Touchdown. Suda51 has gone on record saying that if he were to be in Smash, Travis would primarily use wrestling moves because of an overabundance of swordfighters. Coincidentally, Incineroar is the wrestler Pokemon, so if Incineroar were to get in, Travis' chances would be hurt because he wouldn't be as unique, in terms of moveset. While Travis isn't gonna be in the base game, since Suda's statements would have broken an NDA, it'll help alleviate some of the competition assuming Shantae's still in the running for DLC. (Not going full-on pro-Incineroar or Anti-Travis, just thought i'd put my two cents in on what this could mean for Shantae.)

He never was a villain in the games. His backstory was just a failed experiment and he went into hiding.

Besides the plot that was established where it was stated he killed a bunch of people, but other than that, I didn't say he was the main villain of the very first game. Just the early games like Pokemon Stadium and Pokemon Puzzle League.

Plus that box is obviously a prototype mock up. we are gonna get more then 1 newcomer and 1 echo for sure.

How many more remains to be seen. I always knew we were getting a pokemon. Sad its Inceniroar wanted Gardevoir but there is always DLC(and we are for sure getting DLC). And Ken make sense as an echo(even though I think Akuma is the better choice.)

Getting a square character is obvious with how much love Square is showing nintendo, especially after that direct. Geno seems like a Lock for sure but I still think there is a chance we get a Dragon quest rep, as that series is massive in japan, the grandfather of all JRPGs, started on the NES, and is a very important part of video game history. Geno while giving us for sure a big fan request would not be as big of a historical character like say Hero or the Slime. I can see it going either way.

I'm still sure Shadow is going to be an echo, and maybe ms pac man. that would give every third party in the game so far 1 echo, which seems fair.

Shantae I still think has a strong chance going by Sakurais room and the way Wayforward is acting.

a feel like we will still get a retro character. Sakurai has put on in every game hes not going to skip this one. and it would be a 1st party retro.

That leaves I feel 1 more newcomer, and we could get a few more echos(most likely Medusa, Dixie, Black Shadow, and Impa) That newcomer could be Isaac, or it could be Rayman, or it could be Banjo and Kazooie. I base this on we are still missing 3 slots in the music menu. the pokemon and retro won't take it, and Isabelle didn't either. they would have to make it for new series. Shantae would give 1, Maybe Geno but for sure a Dragon quest would(i doubt DQ music is more expensive then FF music, so we would have more then 2), and that last could be from Golden Sun, Rayman, or banjo Kazooie series.

I already argued about Verg for an hour now, so not repeating here. Just wanted to comment on the 'hype end'. Remember, 4 hype ended on Dark Pit and Duck Hunt. And DLC hype ended on Bayonetta. Pretty sure Brawl hype ended on Toon Link. So all the hype in Smash history have ended on disappointments so far.
