Well thanks for the info!, and thanks, for the support of Dylly!I can't double post in Isaac thread but I've been lurking here so uh hi. Important news?

Corocoro scan apparently says 108 stages? It's good news for all us new franchise smash hopefuls!
Also, I'm kind of surprised at Dylly's anxiety about their perception in the thread. I always thought they were the Pwnapplez of Shantae, meaning imo they're kinda like the face / poster child of the thread in my mind. I really hope he gets better, and what I've heard makes me kinda worried for him.
Yeah seriously, the Smash team is utterly stupid if they keep ******* PAC-LAND over Pc-maze, and dont give me that "b-but Shin, it might have to do with them not being able to make it's unique mechanic work on non 3DS." I don't care about that, I just want the maze aesthetic over MS Paint Land.Rainbow Road and Pacman Maze better be two of those stages...
I agree with that. Pac Land is a very visually unappealing stage. Pac Maze would be a little cooler.Yeah seriously, the Smash team is utterly stupid if they keep ******* PAC-LAND over Pc-maze, and dont give me that "b-but Shin, it might have to do with them not being able to make it's unique mechanic work on non 3DS." thank the LORD. something that Isn't a BOX!I can't double post in Isaac thread but I've been lurking here so uh hi. Important news?

I hope everything turns out ok for Dylly. Also it's interesting to note that 108 is that buddhist number that pops up a lot, and I just thought that was interesting. But if we got 4 newcomers with their own stages, that'd be great! Hopefully Shantae would be one of them
Hopefully that's true, I can't read Japanese so I have no idea what it actually says, but if it is it should give some people a bit of hope!

Anyone worried about the box theory can shut up now because I doubt these last 5 are gonna be reserved for two characters.Isaac thread has more treats!

Rainbow Road is a Mario Kart stage.I thought the thing in that Isabelle screenshot was just Rainbow Ride from Melee. That's less of a leak or anything 'cause it was already on the Smash website before Isabelle was revealed.
Interesting, they've now implimented the Random functionality, and separated the maps into an 11x10 grid. So it may seem to fit the DLC option as well as these five new maps! But yeah, I see there's absolutely nothing wrong with this screencap and can conclude that this is, indeed, a legitimate leak!Isaac thread has more treats!

No, he’s talking about Rainbow Cruise from Melee, the stage with the flying shipRainbow Road is a Mario Kart stage.
I meant Rainbow Ride, or cruise or whateverRainbow Road is a Mario Kart stage.
Rainbow Cruise was already revealed from the Aug Direct. I just didn't realize what stage it was when I saw that Isabelle Photo. Also, jesus that uruk scream, that's beautiful!Hmm, 108 stages? Okay, I can actually get behind that number and this leak. It leaves us with the other 103 stages, alongside the newly revealed or leaked Rainbow Cruiser on Isabella's photograph. Let's go into the logistics of Smash Bros stages and what it means for the newcomers.
(current map pool that we almost certainly know is to be true)
Theoretically, with what the leak showcases, we have only five stages left. Now, I think it'll be unlikely with represented franchises who gains a newcomer will get an exclusive stage for their own use. For instance: Skull Kid's reveal would be semi unlikely to give us a stage dedicated to Majora's Mask or Twilight Princess, with the presence of Great Bay and Bridge of Elden. Should Incineroar be revealed, it would also be unlikely for a new Pokemon-based stage to be revealed alongside him. Geno may be a special case, though I'm not very certain about him getting a stage representing Mario RPG. Even Ken, as good as he is, is unlikely to get his own stage and may just share Ryu's stage. With the likes of Isaac and Shantae, however, they may get their own unique stages! Or if you really wanna go overboard, Banjo could get his own stage!
However, it can also be pretty likely that they will find some stages to revamp and add back into the pool. Most likely stages seem to be relative "simple" ones to bring back, like MK7's Rainbow Road, among others I don't know about yet. But with what we know, there's definitely going to be a newcomer-inspired new stage, as well as a certainty for a "veteran" stage to return into the fold.
Everyone keep him in your prayers please.I hope Dylly will be okay ;-;
I think overall, that's good thing. Compassion is one of the easiest parts of the human condition to loose touch with, because it so often is easier not to care about others.Glad some news at least brought a bit of hope back.
Tonight was a bit hard on me, but I'm calmer now though I guess I was wrong in thinking something wouldn't be able to bring me down. Good job world. I didn't think I cared for the wellbeing of someone I just met here, but I guess I do, and I'm trying my best to keep my composure, I shouldn't be that affected by what's going on in someone else's life, right? I dunno.
I don't even care about shantae right now lol. ahh. Sorry, just wanted to say my feelings a bit.
Let's see if things seem better and clearer tomorow. and thanks all.
Yeah, there being so many more stages makes it even more likely that we still got a lot of newcomers left. I'm still pushing and believing the Smash blog theory that there's 7-8 more fighters left.5 more stages? That's wonderful news! I feel like the proverbial nooses have loosened around our necks a little bit when it comes to speculation.
It seems this next smash direct is gonna be real good.
Also, if that's next month's issue of the magazine, does that mean we're getting the Smash direct much sooner than we may realize? Like end of this month or early next month?
2 words.Hopefully one of those new stages is Scuttle Town or another Shantae stage.
Risky's Ship? Goes by Scuttle Town AND can have Giga Mermaid in the background?2 words.
GIGA. MERMAID.
Hate the stage...but REALLY want this in the background...and maybe as a stage boss...2 words.
GIGA. MERMAID.
Ok, that would be a really cool stage. Lots of platforms to use, attacks from the Giga Mermaid to avoid, and possibly a mechanic where her locks can be broken and whoever breaks the final lock will be immune from a final attack she unleashes.2 words.
GIGA. MERMAID.
Well Famitsu may have been talking about the number confirmed, or the other magazine might have been counting training stages and boss stages. So who knows.Dumb question: What are the chances that the 108 part was a typo? The Famitsu article still says 103.
Two problems with that. Already an existing stage in Smash 5 that reminds me of that, and if Issac gets in, people expect him to get some sort of lighthouse stage as the only location people seem to talk about as an Issac stage.Ok, that would be a really cool stage. Lots of platforms to use, attacks from the Giga Mermaid to avoid, and possibly a mechanic where her locks can be broken and whoever breaks the final lock will be immune from a final attack she unleashes.
However if Shantae only get's one stage it's not terribly iconic to her series as a whole. My vote would still go to the bay with her lighthouse and bridge.
It's not a typo, my friend. It comes from Corocoro, one of the few reliable information resources when it comes to stuff like this, with years of Pokemon and Smash Bros information to back its reputation up and for good reason.Dumb question: What are the chances that the 108 part was a typo? The Famitsu article still says 103.
I would find that to be sort of unlikely. Though it'll likely have to relate to whether Spirits is a Subspace Emissary game or an Adventure Mode game, or even a combo of the two in some fashion. Because as of right now, there are 103 fightable stages, one stage exclusive to training mode, and two "boss arena" stages so far. That only adds up to 106 if we really were counting them.Well Famitsu may have been talking about the number confirmed, or the other magazine might have been counting training stages and boss stages. So who knows.
How recent is the Famitsu article you're talking about because this CoroCoro one just released. Unless they both came out at the same time I'd expect the Famitsu article was just giving the same information released during August.Dumb question: What are the chances that the 108 part was a typo? The Famitsu article still says 103.
