If you guys haven't been paying attention to the Japanese Smash Bros Twitter, they announced when the next wave of Smash amiibos releases: March 26th in Japan https://twitter.com/SmashBrosJP/status/1337192876816515072 That's a long enough gap presumably to be timed around the release of FP9

Some say spirits don't need explaining how they came back as fighters but then you realize we're back to the first WoL cutscene when Galeem is about to make spirits/prisoners out of everyone with it's attack. I like to think Sephiroth somehow time travelled, ironically saving everyone from a grim fate.

I definitely agree, but a lot of fighting games usually have their final boss also a part of their playable roster, which was what I was referring to.

I got a question. So the first challenger pack in FP2 is Min Min that starts with M, Steve starts with S and Sephiroth starts with S as well. If Shantae is next (in case), that makes a third S like Steve and Sephiroth’s first letter. Does it matter or not?

I had a silly one. So Jenova’s boss theme iscalled J-E-N-O-V-A, hyphens and all. That’s 6 letters, the number of fighters before the boss encounter, so get a character representing each letter.

...Except that I just realized no smash character starts with E or A, what the heck!

Erdrick and Alph? Probably not, since I don't think classic modes use DLC characters, but I can't think of anyone else in Smash whose name starts with E.

Then again, I think the original post referred to original characters and not alts.

DLC characters only appear in other DLC classic modes for the same character. Specifically:
All 4 Heroes appear throughout Hero's classic mode.
Terry is the final battle of Terry's route
Multiple Byleth's appear in Byleth's route as stand ins for the House Leaders
Min-Min appears in her route
Steve's route has Zombie and Enderman periodically appear

We don’t know unless it’s Crash. Lot of people are desperate for him to come join. Since Geno is now in higher risk being a Mii costume because of Sephiroth and he might, Crash could be the last DLC fighter to end it all with the bang at the very least.

So each DLC fighter is released with a set of Mii Costumes, I think that Dragonoid (Bakugan) might finally get a mii costume because we got a new Bakugan game lately.

Not sure it’s true but I think the reason why the NEW label wasn't removed because of the same IP Nintendo already used in Smash like you see all those company names in Smash website or after the character reveal trailer down below? Yeah so I think the only thing it removes is go to show that we’re getting an new IP to add a new character from different company and add their names alongside with others. That explains Sephiroth because of Square Enix that already represents so Nintendo used one of those companies‘s names that already joined for another new character in Smash.

Yeah that too because it’s like the sign that this character is for teens and adults so it gives it rated E10+-T because of that character

No, if in a week we find Geno get a mii costume, then sadly the little puppet's strings are cut. And for goddsakes I hope it's a deluxe Mii with a proper looking face. If they just bring back the hat version from Smash 4... Well, insult, meet injury.

A... Smash 4 was rated E10+ before Cloud got in as DLC in that game I believe.

If there's no Geno Mii with Sephiroth, then that either means it will be saved for another Fighter or Geno will remain a Spirit. In either case, he is never becoming playable now that we have another Square Enix representative.

If the Mii costume doesn't return and we get bonus DLC or Fighter's Pass 3 than I think Geno is guaranteed. Why not bring the costume back after this long unless he's playable.

That's my thoughts. Sephiroth is the perfect time to bring back either the old Geno costume or an updated one. If neither of those happens then it will be incredibly suspect.

Right now I am strongly (tho begrudgingly) in the camp that he will get a deluxe Mii costume next week, possibly with the two songs that Nintendo was copyright claiming a while back. However, in the highly unlikely chance that they don;t even bring back the already made costume, then SOMETHING is up.

Honestly, if he doesn't get a costume, I could see him getting in without a third pass, but only if they were purposefully saving him for last.

I won't consider anything impossible from now, given all the curveballs we've been thrown ;
Geno being in smash is still very much possible in my book, and I don't know why so many people believe that two characters from the same company couldn't be in the same pass. It's yet another fan-made rule that awaits to be proven wrong.
I don't personally want Geno by the way, but it would be awesome so see so many people's wish come to fruition!
