How many people are seriously going to this event?
Seems like th hype as died down a bit overall like with the SvB tournament.
Whats going on with the community...I think it might have something to do with the summer holidays lol.

Nice, hopefulyl I get to play you lot.
I have next to NONE info about what time my coach and stuff is getting there and that kinda info and barely info about how many people are coming to this lol./
It looks like it might be Phantom Hits amount but the only difference is that better players will be there lol.

Craig- well im defiently going so tell jam that lol. Also, scott should be coming. Im going to contact sam and see if he is up for it. Im pretty sure he will have enough notice. Recently spoke to dan and he is back into smash. See if i can try my best and get him here.

Post if you book! and really sort jam out and get him to book man hes so lazee!

Goign to push trying to get a good sdb turnout at this.

RYAN ARE YOU COMING MAN? be nice to see you. Drinks at ggt2 were good but could be better! ill introduce you to my new fave drinking past time......pop up pirates, go donuts, hungry hippos and other amazign such games lol!!!

Ben - im glad to hear that. Where does peter live now?

Pro - i have no idea how SvB is impacted on this. It has very little attention anyway and what it has had is concentrated in london. It also doesnt have a melee tournament. The side event being planned will be poor cos neoempire wont dedicate tvs to it lol :/. This is a much better tournament proposition has it has two days housng which = a lot more smash and a lot more socialising.

I agree with ryan. Another dip coupled with a lack of advertisement of this tournament.

ps i want top 4 at this ;)

stfu Ed, im advertising svb as much as I can and it has all the smash people want now (melee + brawl singles/doubles pools + DE). Now im literally pissed off with you for doubting me. F*** you for saying there wont be dedicated t.vs because there's going to be plenty and I'm bringing 13 of my own t.vs + their dedicated ones. If you guys are willing to travel for 3 days then awesome, enjoy a huge event with an awesome venue and some dedication to smash with lots of friendlies and tournament play.

Why are you doubting me so much? I know how to run a tournament and I've been running better tournaments in London than nearly most UK tournaments now, stfu. Don't even try blame me for low attendance on this event -_- Look at the community I helped built over the years in London and how big our turnouts our, how successful our events are and then think about who you're doubting and calling their events ****.

So what happened to the "I want a huge UK tournament, or european even" im trying my best to expand the community and make bigger and bigger events, SvB is a huge step and right now you're demotivating the whole community and saying everything is going badly. Big venue, 3 day event, all tournaments included, 3 days of friendlies, other games, extra prizes, finals most likely going to be a on projector to hundreds of people. Are you dumb? the only thing that's missing is housing and people have to learn to ASK or find a solution. Nothing is perfect

Yes I'm not in a good mood today at all too

I am bringing 6 londoners with me to this tuornament, cant remember who exactly

what can you say ed? I'm running fine events the only downfall is it's a 3 day event without housing provided. This is a once a year thing not a monthly

Why can't you just leave it? Arguing at something I'm promoting is horrible as a fact and I'm working really hard to organize something big for the community

Not only is this flaming unneccessary, but it also makes you look bad. Sorry Kone, but I have actually lost a bit of respect for you just now. Fuzzy has worked hard trying to make sure SvB, trying to add to the content to make it more worthwhile/appealing. The recent announcements aren't that old, most people don't look online everyday, and so probably haven't even seen the additions.

The only thing I could see is maybe spending time telling people about the latest news about SvB, and I don't know about anyone else but fuzzys been keeping me informed about this pretty well.

May I ask, what good did making Fuzzy annoyed actually do? Couldn't you have done something more productive in that time, like promoting SvB, or even SHS?

The content of SvB is looking really good, maybe a few Londoners who can house can step up and say if they can house people outside of london, that could be a good start maybe?

Okay Andy let us review the conversation that happened yesterday;
Okay. Turns out that im coming this. Kae's family leave 9am sat morning so I shall be in bolton by twelve =). Saying as Joe and Will have little net access and this is a SDB tournament im going to do my best to sort out, what looks to be, a piss poor turnout.

So, who is actually coming to this? the lack of turnout is horrifying when it is likely this is the ONLY uk melee tournament this summer.

London - charles and who? why so few numbers charles? can you do your best to muster more people?

Scotland - Paul you coming? Ryan what about you? paul can you ask dave/allan/kieran and the new lads that were at ggt2. If not, give me their msns to hassle lol.

NW - ant and alan are you going to this? obv will and joe are. Who else is there?

Birmingham - whats happened to jet and hao???

Reading - craigg you coming to this? i spoke to jam the other day and he was interested. Could you pester him as well? I know he is back in reading for summer so you guys could come up together?????

Southampton - dacacia and ben are coming. what happened to pete?

This needs sorting out asap!!!
I posted the above to try help the turnout of this tournament. In this thread and other specific location based threads. There was no malice in my posts. Simply, I was attempting to promote SHS1.

Ed- Imma gonna try and help with this as well, it'd be good to have a decent turnout for this
just spoke to jam on the phone, we're gona have a chat about it tomorrow and maybe book then
My god I am so interested right now rofl. 5 posts by Ed tellin people to come and suddenly this tourney has prospects, so suggestable.

Me and Paul talkin now.

We could run another GGT3 in the summer if you like.
Within hours the above four posted. The tournament had gone from looking disinteresting to suddenely having ben given his personal aid to the cause. Too jam and craig trying to make it (jam coming is a huge coup btw). Too paul and ryan trying to make it(which is also ace) and lastly hao, who hasn't posted in some time, nicely coming out of the woodwork and declaring that he can't but could run ggt3 for us. So far it seems im doing a very good job of promoting shs1?

Pro - i have no idea how SvB is impacted on this. It has very little attention anyway and what it has had is concentrated in london. It also doesnt have a melee tournament. I then said the above. Now, I was just replying to pro's message about lack of attention shs1 and svb are getting. I tried to instigate that people should look into making shs1. To be honest I thought that pro was saying that svb was taken attention away from shs1. My bad so i apologise. However, charles didnt attack pro for saying that did he?. Furthermore, what I posted was exactly a scathing attack on svb. I was simply sticking up for this tournament. Also, I didn't "flame" charles at all. Where do I make personal remarks towards himself? if anything it is aimed at neoempire as a organisation. Simply put, my comments did not deserve charle's following response;

Re-read what he posted andy. How many times does charles take personal digs at myself? Telling me to stfu. Which, btw, is ridiculous charles when you and me know each other in person. Simply put, it is okay to have a online persona if it matches your real life character and/or you don't meet people in person. You wouldn't tell me ever to stfu in person. Just doesn't suit you man :/. Blatantly, I went of the information about svb that I had before charles changed things. Obviously, charles has worked hard , got stressed and then took a almighty swipe at me. Is that fair andy? furthermore, charles actually admits that at the end of the quote.

Ill reply properly to your post tomorrow and rip it apart. It is lazy and full of holes. I will enjoy doing so. Right now im tired and replying to you just isn't interesting enough :/
The above was the only thing personal I said towards charles. It is not as personal or as rude as his previous post. In fairness I believe I have kept my cool and other posters on these boards may be suprised I did.

So, where is the flaming? I made some derogratory comments towards svb that were slight. In fairness they were done out of miscommunication on my part. I apologise. However, they weren't substantial to warrant charle's response. Furthmore, they and my previous posts were done to promote this tournament andy. Which is what you, in the above post, are telling me to do. I did not go into the SvB topic and personally flame charles (which he did here). What do you think is worse; my slight comment on svb in this thread or charles coming into this thread, derailing the current dicussions (which, btw, were starting to increase interest in shs1 before he posted) and attacking me? in a tournament thread for the up and coming uk melee tournament.

Also andy think about what exactly your post achieved? did you promote shs1 in this thread? let us know whether your making it? no, you simply fan the flames resulting in this response.

-------------

Ponder over that andy and charles. I will happily dicuss this further via email, pm or on msn. I have a lot I could say about svb but if you want my opinion on it I will do so via above means. I have no interest in undermining svb publicly and only made comments in defence of this tournament.
--------------

Paul/Ryan - any news? really want you both there :)

Craig/Jam - let me know if you book?

Ben - word on pete?

Hao - no chance your parents would let you? really isn't that far between brum and bolton you know :)

Anyone else up for this? I guarantee a awesome tournament!!!!

Well hopefully this all gets sorted out. I think some words were exchanged in the heat of the momen and you two are prob our best tournament organizers so become friends lol.
Maybe we just need to re-pharse our past posts and put :) at the end of every sentence for the happy times and the lulz.:)

Charles - Is there any chance I MIGHT be able to bring Last Dragon and 4 stock. I'm asking in terms of tickets and stuff even though I haven't properly asked them but the last time I spoke to them about it they showed really good interest and they wanna one of the top 10 in the UK so they wanna take out people like Aiko and J03 loool.

It isn't really upto charles man. Look at www.nationalexpress.com and www.megabus.com. Put london->bolton in around the dates of the tournament. Look for cheapest deals. Also, put into it london-manchester and see how cheap that is. Maybe cheaper going there then taken a short bus journey form manc to bolton :)

I looked yday and there were tickets available rom around £10 to manc return and £20 bolton return.

Aslong as they have a debit card (which most people do) or their rents do they can buy a ticket =s

That means you could try to bring Jet right?
Since we don't get too see you lot often it would be good if you could come to this.
Any other smashers in your area you could potentially invite?

I will admit my response was slightly exaggurated, unintentionally of course, I am sure you wouldn't have intentionally said anything bad. I had been travelling across England to get back home, and the having Fuzzy say how stressed he was and all this e-drama, so overall I wasn't thinking straight either. Yes the use of the word "Flaming" wasn't intended, however you get the idea behind what I suggested.

I will and do apolagyse for the unintended e-drama, was more a misunderstanding at a bad time lol.

On a related note, I really doubt I can make this, being back at Bournemouth and having work commitments is going to make it too difficult. If anything comes up I'll try to come but its really looking unlikely.

I've just realised its 2hrs.

Jet literally just left my house, he can't come cuz the tickets are too expensive.

Gay...
How much are the tickets anyway?
I actually tried to look for tickets for Jet but I could only find 31 pounds for the cheapest with a railcard and he doesn't have a railcard so it would be about 40 :(. Traveling's that expensive :(

Ed- Pete is living Somewhere in the region of south London . Can't remember exactly where he lives. I'll phone him ahnd see what he says.

Does anyone know if VA + south westeners are comihng to this?

Robby can't and swizzy is a maybe.

Ben - read what i said. I never said anything against charle's ability to run a tournament. I just underlined factors, that imo, make this a more suitable summer tournament (Even though now i admit the comparison had not been questioned lol).

Hao- It is £23 return by coach from brum to bolton. However, you would need to stay a night. By megabus you can get to manc for £14 return. From there your looking £5 return between manc and bolton. So you can get to the tournament for twenty quid return. Tell Jet that. I know you have parent issues but jet may not and imo twenty return is very reasonable. I aint made a tourney on less, only londoners and funfares can do that. Also, im willing to speak to any parents anytime regarding this tournament and housing issues. Ive done it in the past. Ive also been asked if I am CRB cleared, which if it helps, I am for my teacher training, my job as a support worker with children/young adults with S.E.N. and my job as a auxiliary nurse at sunderland city hospital.

I think you are the only player I actually haven't played in the community out of all the well known people lol. I've played Grayfox in doubles before and I haven't played Mr P but thats it.

Yeah I will be looking forward to playing you in fox vs peach and I will defintely find you to get atleast one game.

Team Scrub (Myself, Swizzy and Beast) are not attending, me and beast are definitely not coming and swizzy looks like he won't be. We're on the look out for a fourth member - preferabley up and coming decent player.

We're also changing our name from Team Scrub and I'm still part of SDB. This is just my own crew I've always had.

Great news paul lol ;). Now who else is looking to book? spoke to jam and craig and they should be booking 2moro.

Andy - surely this is worth the trip up? only national toureny this summer. If your serious about being decent at melee this is a must.

Hao- two hours is nothing. Your lucky it is so close for you. Most of us expect to travel further. Talk to jet and make this. Anyone elsethat has jets msn convicne him its worth it.

Pro - can you talk to more londoners? tell them this a must if they want to get better.

Also, this is a house tournament. Hosue tournaments are ace. Greater atmosphere at later events in the tournament i.e. finals. You can chill out and do what you want (drink) AND THERES NO VENUE COST!!! so if you are moaning about expense knock 5-7 quid of any bus or train tickets you just saved on realising that.

What about lj and lismore? or w/e there names are? smo etc

Monty- any chance of caleb and jake making a weird as hell and compeltely random melee come back?

Who else is lurking out there and reding this? post with any queries and ill convince u to make it.

loool MM £2?
Is that best falcon guy really attending this btw cos I would like to play him.

Yeah I will defo try and ask a few londoners and I will tell them that and how nearly all of the big people in the UK are going to this.
Is there any chance if there is any recording equipment at this event if you know?
