It wasn't for spite. It was a warning that if it happened again it's worthy of release from the club. How would you feel if you were a freshman that thought the Melee players were daunting, but wanted to play them anyway, only to find out they refuse to play you for 30 minutes straight until you give up trying?Alright guys, as much as I enjoy a good flame war, this is getting a bit ridiculous and has just devolved into name calling.
Joe: I deplore brawl as much as you but it's better to just not say bad things about it in front of brawl players because they take it personally.
John: I think it's a little hypocritical to call people immature and then threaten to ban them from smash club. If you have a beef with someone settle it with them personally don't just try to spite them.
You would feel like telling everyone that the smash community isn't worthwhile. That's the opposite of what club should be doing. It only makes sense to ban people if they are ultimately banning other people with their attitude.
If the argument was more direct and didn't become a flame war because of dik size comparison, it would have been me saying "warning" and helmet saying "okay". The fact that he didn't take responsibility for his actions made it into a flame war. Because getting someone to say "won't happen again" is hard to do online apparently. Next time I"ll be sure to say it in person.
And to be honest I do feel like the Melee part of club is very "exclusive".
In my opinion club didn't exist this year. A group of 8 guys who play melee just played in a different location than usual.
No setups were provided, nor people invited, for an actual club to take part.
