You guys are silly. Obviously, the only way to really test this out is to pit a level 9 Peach against a Level 9 Marth on FD.

This discussion is a bit useless though because everyone knows that Falco trumps everyone else. He is the solution to all your problems.

Also, great games today Eric, Yuta, Tristan, George, David, and Anthony. A great time was had despite my *****ing about Marth and cheapness, all the while shooting about 100 lasers per minute in every match.

As per Jesse's suggestion, I sought to test out the Marth vs. Peach match up for myself. After watching a rather tedious match between a level 9 Peach and Marth on Final Destination, I decided upon a much quicker method:

Procedure
1. Went to Tournament Mode, using the following settings
a. Entrants: 64
b. Human(CPU): 0(64)
c. Stage selection: Always Different (note: goes only to the selected random stages, I set them to FD, BF, FoD, YS, and DL64)
d. CPU Level: 9
e. Options: The usual, 4 stock, 8 minute matches
2. Set CPU Characters
a. change to Peach and Marth only, equal numbers of each
3. Ran the tournament, skipping the watching part, lol. Only count the Peach vs. Marth matches. (Different numbers in results because of the random number of dittos)

Results

I decided to do 3 trials just to get slightly more data.

Trial 1
Marth wins vs Peach = 15
Peach wins vs Marth = 23
Tournament results:
Highest ranked Peach = 1st
Highest ranked Marth = tied for 4th


Trial 2
Marth wins vs Peach = 10
Peach wins vs Marth = 18
Tournament results:
Highest ranked Peach = 1st
Highest ranked Marth = tied for 8th


Trial 3
Marth wins vs Peach = 10
Peach wins vs Marth = 14
Tournament results:
Highest ranked Peach = 2nd
Highest ranked Marth = 1st


Overall Results
Total Marth wins vs Peach = 35
Total Peach wins vs Marth = 55

Win %: 61.1% Peach, 38.9% Marth
Tournament wins: 2 Peach, 1 Marth

Conclusion
The matchup is roughly 60:40 in Peach's favor, but definitely not unwinnable for Marth. CPU's don't lie.

CPUs don't need to dash. Marth's walk is almost as fast as Doc's run.

Rickety! If my input were to matter, I'd love to see more of the Fox & Falco from you; however, I believe you to be a Sheik main with a Marth second and will always see that.
