Halo 2, Gears of War, Rainbow six 3, Mortal Kombat Armageddon. I really only ever play Halo 2 really, Gears some times but the host advantage is to steep to be fair.

EDIT: I mean I only play Halo 2 as far as multiplayer goes, I actually don't play it often unless my friend calls me up to play. Have you played Bioshock? Cause I can't even wear socks while I play it anymore, i just roxorz them right off.

yeah i'm playing bioshock on hard, which can be really annoying..stupid big daddies. I actually havent played in about 2 weeks. I got MP3 an stopped playing bioshock, and then I started playing smash and havent gone back.

NO BIOSHOCK OR METROID SPOILERS PLEASE!

if you ever want to get some gears or halo action going on live lemme know, i'd be up for it.
yeah host advantage on gears can get annoying, Annex makes it fun though, you don't have to wait for rounds to end you can just keep respawning.

edit: ****, I can't spell.

I'm gonna play Bioshock tonight. On a side note, Neverwinter Nights is a fuggin classic. It sucks me the fudgepacker in. And perhaps next Monday I can begin training dnilb's Fox in earnest.

is there anything I should be working on? i'm guessing waveshines are most important? those are when you down b and wavedash right after that isnt it?

also..is smash/halo going on today? I would need to know now or I might not be able to get a ride

Fox's main KO attacks are up air and up smash. Work on juggling with up air to get down the timing/jump heights. Also practice intercepting recoveries with the shine to an edgehog. Waveshining is a bit more of an advanced tech and isn't too important to learn when first starting, it's something that'll come with time.

thanks for the advice. i'll work on getting this stuff down before I try an do even more complicated stuff.

edit: whose up for teaming with me for halo2 tournament? me, my bro, and a friend we live with are going to give it a go. they both arent very good so we need alot of practice. we also need 1 more person in our team. I'd rather not end up with a random teamate that I havent played with before. if your up for it let me know an we can get some practice in before saturday.
also, I'm up for smash at around..5 or 5:30, we are going to get some halo practice in before my friend has to go to work.

What time does the tournament end? I may be free on Saturday, I'll let you know by tomorrow. YOu wanna play some Halo 2 right now? If so, get on XBL after posting, and I'll hop on too.

Dnilb, the waveshine is really, really good. Like Jihnsius said, it's something you need to pick up over time, and believe me, it will make the difference between decent and good. It leads to grabs, up-smashes, infinite combos, etc. Bairs are also nice to kill ppl with along w/ up smash and uair, but Fox's little ingenious kill is the shine spike. Watch Shined Blind and you'll see exactly what I mean. Go on youtube, and type in "Shined Blind" and "Zelgadis Evolution". Zel's shine crazy fox is great. And if you want to watch matches, I'd suggest looking up Lunin, or Mew2king. My two favorite Fox's. But KFC's Fox will always have a special place in my heart. *tear*

yeah I think I can make it over tomorrow, and yes I can bring my tv, but someone else needs to bring a cube cause mines broken.

and yeah i'm all for halo2, do you want me to bring over and xbox so we could try it out a little? or if you have xboxlive I can just bring over halo2.

also, I want some real practice..the only people here that play just spam smash attacks so it gets frustrating lol.

Is that "need one more" counting me, or not counting me? Who do we have so far? And do you know how many we'll need for a team?

And yeah, Halo practice would be good, I haven't played in a while. We can play/practice Smash/Halo2 tomorrow if you can find a way to my house. Don't worry about bringing a Gamecube, but we don't have an XBox or H2. Also, how many controllers do you have?

Me and Delphiki should be able to give you some good training too.

the 3 people i'm talking about are:

me, a friend I live with, and my bro. i'm not 100% sure if they both want to stick with it but they said they will give the tournament a try. i'm just trying to get them to practice more.

i'm pretty sure we only need 4, since it is 4v4.
so if you are going to play then we have a full team.

and I can get a ride tomorrow just pick a time. I'll bring my xbox+halo2, and I have plenty of controllers. it'll most likely be only me coming cause my friends arent into playing/watching smash or w/e.

but we really need to practice while we still can. and smash practice will be nice, i've been playing against level 1 comps again.

I've always had a strong dislike towards Halo, but I'm willing to give it another shot. I've never cared for playing FPSes on controllers, hence why I asked if you can use USB peripherals for it (keyboard and mouse.)

EDIT: Play against level 7 computers, they're often considered the most "human," even though they're still far from it.

Oh, yeah, you can use USB peripherals. I think you just can on 360, on regular Xbox you need like a 15 dollar adapter thing.

Not that I've seen, it is built with the controller in mind. In fact, the auto aim might throw you off with a mouse. You could always just get it for PC.

Francisco is Narfanator. Simna is blinder than rednilb.

Anybody want to host a tournament on one of these Mondays? A tournament with an entry fee instead of an empty pocket, mayhaps?

Yeah, Narf is pretty good. Mains Samus (like a beast I may add). Quite fun to play Smash Bros. with.

Sorry I didn't get back to you sooner. I know it's kind of late in the day already, but would you guys still be interested in coming over today? You wouldn't be able to come until I finish some work, so around 6:30 probably, but I figured I'd give you the option anyway if you still wanted to come. If not, we should be able to do it tomorrow.
